I'm just curious to see where we fall, average or below average?

Here's what I budget for a Disney trip for 5 of us:

Hotel: $700
Food: $700
Gas: $250
Souvenirs $150
Tickets: $1146 through Undercover Tourist

Estimated Total: $2946 for 6 day trip

Our vacations generally run about 5-6K each trip, regardless of where.

Our trip next Spring Break is currently budgeted at $6500 if we drive, a bit more if we fly, but that's during peak season with no discounts, a suite at ASMu, regular DDP and tix for four Disney adults.

We could make it cheaper by going in the summer and getting free dining and staying at a Value, but we decided we'd rather have the room to spread out, and DH hates the heat.

We went in December and made it about $750 per person for three people.

My FI and I are going on a Disneymoon July of 2012 and are budgeting anywhere between $3-4,000. We are hoping to get the discounts. We will be doing the dining plan and staying at the Contemporary. I've mapped it out on Disney's website and it seems we can totally do it. But, that doesn't include any extra activities we might do or airfare. Woops!

2 weeks at WDW 4 or 5 guests
5k to 7K Disney World hotel, food and tickets.
2K spending
1k travel gas, travel food, travel room 2 nights.
About 10K total.

When you factor in all the costs including transportation, food, tickets, hotel and spending money for my family of five it runs about 5 grand.

We bought annual passes and will be going 12 weeks with them. The APs were about $500 each, so our average cost is under $50 per person per week. (When we went less often, we would usually do two weeks and a 10 day base ticket, which was about $125 per person per week.)

We usually find airfare for under $200 per person.

We typically get a rental car for under $200 for a week.

(We'll drive if the total airfare and rental car cost is much more than $1000.)

We stay in nice 2BR timeshares, and our effective costs (factoring in initial costs, annual maintenance fees, exchange fees, etc.) usually ranges from $300 to $600 per week.

For food, we usually eat in the timeshare or pack a lunch, plus some counter service and off-site dining. We typically spend $300-$400 per week, which is only about $100 per week more than we would spend at home so that's what I use for my figures.

So for our family of five (including DS1, who doesn't need tickets yet), that totals up to about $1800 for a week, $2400 for two weeks or $3000 for three weeks.

My family consists of Me, my husband, and my son. We go to Disney at the end of January each year which is their value season. This year we stayed at POP and we got the free dining. Well it was free counter service dining, so we upgraded to the counter/table service dining and paid the difference. Anyway, our trip basically cost......

$1,700.00 for package (7 night resort accomodations, tickets, meals)
$400.00 for travel (snakcs and gas because we drive from Maryland)
$800.00 for miscellaneous spending (we like to shop :rolleyes1)

So all in all $2,900.00.

This coming year we are trying to save so we can stay at the Poly. We are guessing that trip will roughly cost us $6,000.00.

We've only been once and it was about $9000 and that included almost 2 weeks, SeaWorld, shopping at the outlets and rental car. We stayed at the CBR and had the dinning plan. We flew from Germany.

I'm already planning our next trip this time from NY and won't be going until 2013 when DH gets back from deployment and I'm looking at about the same amount again....:confused3 Could be that I'm hoping to include Discovery Cove and a swim with dolphins  it's on my bucket list! :fish:

Souveniers $230

We did it for less in 2009 by staying at Windsor Hills 3 bedroom condo $450
eating more meals at condo and went for 8 days 7 nights; tickets were also less because we had 2 < 10 and we only did hotel on way down. on way home we slept at rest area and gas was less. It was closer to $2500.

Our visits run about $4500 to $6000 when you add up hotel, food, tickets, rental car, outlet shopping, seeing other attractions. We don't pay airfare but we manage to spend it in other ways :rotfl:

We have been averaging about $1500 per week's long vacation, although this year was even a bit less.

That includes: Park passes, condo off site, dog sitting, transportation, food, etc....for 5 of us.

We have an 8 day trip planned in Nov.

$3500.00 for hotel, tickets, ddp
$1000.00 for spending money, 1 meal on the way and 1 meal on the way home (fast food both times)
$240 for gas (at the current prices)

4740.oo for the 8 day trip

We may add in tickets to see La Nouba so that would put it right at $5000

Our ten day trip this May cost about 8000. Poly/dxdp/Aps. Our next 2 trips this year will be 5 days and cost about 2500. We will not need to buy tickets. Annual passes are a great investment if you plan on going more than once a year.

We have AP's and are DVC members so our only cost is food :thumbsup2

Okay, this is cheating right, lol...I mean dvc costs...and so do aps...
Glad you "feel" this is free cept for food.....too funny...

$2600 for room, tickets and meals for 7 nights at AKL in September with room discount
$590 for airline tickets
$109 for car service to and from airport
$500 for tips and souveniers

$3799 total for 2 adults. But I've got $1200 worth of Disney Visa credits to apply to the cost, so $2599 OOP.
