How Much Do You Spend on Souvenirs??

i'm budgeting $200 for all spending cash. for extra snacks and something for my sister and nephew and i may buy something for Dh's niece and nephew :rolleyes1 i want a watch and a monchichi and a shirt ... i may have to budget more :rotfl:

Last year our budget was $200.00 for our family of four. I got four $50 dollar Disney gift cards to keep it fair:) It worked great for us, so we are doing it again this year. However I may put aside a little extra for some t-shirts but I'm not sure yet.
Although last year we did end up buying for family with our Disney rewards so I guess I would say including buying for them our budget was $250 total.

I have no idea how much will spend, but my wife is taking an empty carry-on, the maximum airline approved size, just for souveniers. :scared1:

Plus just like last year, every nook of each suitcase will be stuffed as well.

10 MORE DAYS!!!!

We are really budgeting so I have allocated $120 (for our family of 5). But we probably will stop by one of the Disney outlet stores located off property. Supposedly cheaper prices on T shirts. Although probably not the most current stuff.

Each trip we spend differnet. When we lived only 2 1/2hrs away some times it was 0. We would get alot of are stuff at the wdw outlet store. We are going again in November and the kids habe no idea so we'll be giving them $50 each. I'm hoping to only spend $200. I need more things for my kitchen, and a t-shirt. We'll stop by the outlet store before we even hit wdw.

I always buy towels and sweatshirts and thats it. Generally like $150-200. We go to the dollar store and load up on glow bracelets and necklaces and pop them open before the nighttime shows so my kids dont ask for those over priced, bottom of the toy box next week, light up spinners-which in the past we've bought and regretted. They love them-I always brring enough for any kid sitting in our area so they share and everyone's all happy.

Well, now that the kids are older, 12 & 16 ????????????????

Who knows but I always put about $600 away for this purpose....

It depends on how much I pay for our airfare......

Great thread.....

I probably do about 300 in the parks, but 200 more in outside stores that I live no where near like Target. And I also try to buy stuff I will use everyday to remind myself of Disney.

I'm already saving for our October trip - I'll probably end up with anything with a bride or groom Mickey and Minnie on it. :rotfl:

We usually budget a certain amount per day for food and extras. We mostly just get a couple of t-shirts and pins in the souvenirs category but pick up whatever catches our fancy during the trip. :thumbsup2

We're weird - we do not budget any money for souveniers. I make may kids several costumes to wear ahead of time, water fans, family t-shirts, and load up on $ store glow sticks, treats, and other odds and ends. I have spent about $100 on this type of stuff before, but not usually. We try to save our pennies so that we can go back once or twice a year.

When we travel together, we budget $150/day minimum. We have no kids, but we are addicted to pins and the occasional piece of Disney art. Corey is a t-shirt fanatic. Since they were on sale in December, she brought home 11 of them. When I go solo, I usually budget about $75 to $100 a day.

The answer to the question is highly variable. Even with our budgets, we usually spend less on shorter trips and more on longer trips.....however, our trip last month was an exception. We didn't spend as much as I had budgeted for, which is good because it gave us the start for our October 2009 saving. :thumbsup2
