Going to the parks for vacation and spending daily is one thing but when your one your honeymoon I can see this as another. For example instead of CS meals for dinner I want to take my new wife to a nice sit down restaurant. Just little stuff like this but anyways in your experience how much are you spending per day. I think my budget as of right now is leaving me about $250-$300/ day

it really depends where you want to eat. The answer is how long is a piece of string!! It depends if you decide to have wine/champagne/cocktails or soft drinks with your meals. It depends where you want to eat. You can actually check out the menus of all of the restaurants in Disney.

If you really want a night to remember I suggest Victoria and Albert in The Grand Floridian it is about $125 a head and then a further $65 a head which includes the wine pairing. We did this the day after our wedding as a special treat. The food is amazing, it is really romantic and worth every penny. Be warned it depends on your alcohol tolerance (if you have the wine pairing) We got quite drunk by the 4th or 5th glass, as they keep filling the glasses up when you have nearly finished. The wine is amazing though.

I have just found out about the disney dinining experience card that gives you 20% off all food and drink (including alcohol) at most restaurants.

I would say the amount you have said per day is about right, but as I say it really depends on where you decide to eat.

Congratualtions and enjoy.

Hi neighbor, I'm in Pensacola!

Well, if you book a package that includes dining you can dine at lots of really nice restaurants. We had the dining package for the last two trips and now I really can't see traveling there and not being on the dining plan.

Then, there is the DDE card that offers you the 20% off, you can also go to allearsnet.com and check the menus and prices of the places you want to eat.

Hope this helps you!

I am in Fla too and we only use the dining plan if it is offered for free. Since we are seasonal AP holders, it makes no sense for us to have to purchase tickets and pay rack rate for our room + the cost of the dining plan... not cost effective for us.

To answer your question. I think that is a pretty nice budget depending on were you want to eat and the activities you want to do. We stayed concierge for our dating anniversary in Oct and so we ate breakfast there every morning, snacked throughout the day, and then had dinner at a signature restaurant each night. That is about what we spent, we have the DDE card and it saved us so much money because the 20% also includes alcohol which most discounts don't. If you have a few cocktails or glasses of wine with dinner it adds up quick.

I agree that looking at the menus will give you a better chance to budget. I am a travel agent and I always suggest my clients look them over and get an idea for what they will spend.

i just finished the latest unofficial guide and would recommend you reading it as well. it has lots of cost saving tips in it!
