How much do you pay to board your dog?

The kennels I use to board my dog keeps putting its prices up, just wondering how much does your kennel charge per night for a small dog?

Gosh mine sounds like a great bargain now - I pay £7.00 per night for spike if he goes in the dog kennels and that includes food and vet insurance

Its a brilliant kennel, Spike has been going there for the past 9 years when we go on holidays, they love him and he loves it there. It only gone up by £3 per night in all those years.

They once had to have a vet out for him and it was all included in the price. He is only tiny, a miniture yorkie as you all know, but it is still very very good value when needed. He once had to spend 1 night in the cattery as they didnt have the kennels free for the full 14 nights, so I had that night for £5 Spike loved it in there as he thought he was king amongst the cats.

Last time as a treat they even clip his nails, and trimmed his coat, he doesnt need much of a run as once around our graden and he's shattered, his legs are so small

its great when you find a place that you can rely on, the 1st place we tried for jarvis came reccomended by a friend...i hated it ! he came back all scruffy and unloved

Glad we don't have a dog, would cost us around £700 this year at £14/night. Not paying much more that that for our next Hotel incl breakfast. I am in shock, thats crazy.

Last year I paid about £20 a night for my two, this is with a discount as I take their own food but it does include insurance and vet bills whilst they're there. It is also discounted as they share a kennel, if I had only one dog I think it would be more like your price, Jen.

We drive 25 miles to use these particular kennels when there are several much closer to home and cheaper with it but unfortunately none of them are a patch on this one.

When we went to WDW for 3 weeks last year it cost more to put the dogs in kennels than it did to take one of my DDs to Florida!!

We've used them since he was a pup and they still take him back despite the fact he's destroyed a few kennels over the years

When Phil first went into hospital they took him for three weeks and wouldn't even let us pay

I hate having to put Orly into kennels but he is a looney and I cant trust anybody except my mum with him!! so if we are away together he has to go in.
It is ten pounds a night. At the weekend I took him to the hilton for the night with us and it cost!!!!!! Are you sitting down!!!?????? £25 !!!! what, my little niece was free!!!! And he eats all the pringles the kids crush into the carpets for free!
I work in the vets and regularly take clients pets for them because I know how they feel having to leave them. Or maybe it is just me?? Doh, that dam beagle rules my life!

For our Boxer and King Charles it is going to cost £480 for 16 days this year!! We recently got he King Charles to keep the boxer company when we go away. This price does not include vet bills but does include food. Oh and for a country walk it is £4.50 a day!

That's about what we pay for our Old English Sheepdog and Dalmatian - tho' they throw in free grooming (invaluable for the OES) plus they pick them up and drop them off which is wonderful! I could probably shop around for a cheaper rate but the dogs love it there and I wouldn't feel comfortable sending them elsewhere. I remember when our old Boxer tried out a new kennels years ago for just a week but came back thin and depressed so I know some places are better than others...
