How much for a 3 year old? do you have a typical t/th schedule (2.5-3 hours each day)

How much for a 4 year old? do you have a typical m/w/f schedule?

I feel like I am on overload here looking for a preschool. My son was in a wonderful school in saratoga but we moved and I'm both shocked at the prices and sad that I'm just not finding what I want.

Our 5 year old is in pre-K -- I think we pay like $550 a month, M-F, full days. It was a little more when he was 4 (the price goes down the older they are). DS2 (9 months old) is at the same school in daycare. He's around $850 a month.

T/Th 8:45 - 12:00 $9.00/day per child. It's the same no matter the age 2-5 year olds.

We paid for pre-school for DH's nephew last year. He was 4 and it was for a couple of hours M-W-F and we paid $60 a month. It was in a very small town in Iowa.

Last year I paid $180 for Tu/Ths 9:30-1:30 she was 3
This year I pay $218 for Mon/Wed/Fri 9:30-1:30 she is 4

My DS4 goes MWF 8:15 to 10:45. It's $1575 for the year. They let us break it up into 4 installment payments.

YIKES!!! My kids wouldn't have gone to preschool at the prices some of you pay! We paid $260/YEAR for T/TH half day (well 2 1/2 hours) preschool.

Edited to add: we don't pay as much as most of you pay for preschool for our kids to go full year at the Catholic school ($1400/year/kid for K-8).

DS's preschool is MWF from 9 to 1. It costs $1600/year, although I was able to get a discount of $500 off by prepaying the cost for the year and another discount by booking DS's swim classes (preschool is at a children's gym with swim pool, gymnasium, etc.) at the same time. So, the total cost is more like $1000 for the year.

$200/month is a mid-range price here in CT for 4 year-old preschool.

When DS was 4 he was in full time preschool, it was $186 a week. part time was $65 a day, i'm not sure how much half days were.

We pay $45.00 week for 8:30 - 12:00 M-F. This includes one snack and no lunch. It is a church preschool for 3-5 year olds only.

DW and I like to say that we're getting a raise once DS1 enters Kindergarten (Catholic school as well) in the Fall. :teeth: :teeth:

Last year when DS was 3 the T/Th program was 2.5 hours long and cost us $400 for the 'school year.'
This year the M/W/F program is 3 hours long and cost us $600 for the 'school year.'
It is run by the church at which we are members - that said I believe it's slightly more if you are not a member of the congregation. I consider it a bargain for what he is learning both intellectually and personally.

My son(4) is in Tues/Thurs 12:30-3:00 preschool and it is $160 a month.
Next year he will be in PreK and we decided on 5 half days, which will be <gulp> $295 a month.
3 half days was $245 a month.

Pre-school here is very expensive. When I was shopping around last year it everywhere was around 2k-4k for the year. I don't remember the times or # of days for that figure though.

However I found a great program for 3 and 4 year olds that costs under $1000 a year.

I am paying $500 for my 4 year old this year(she's in the 3 year old program though due to her b-day). The school year is shorter but she loves it there.

She goes Tu/Thurs 8:45 - 11:30.

Next year the price will go up to around $800 I think but its M/W/F program.

I teach at a nursery school and we charge:
$70month for the T/Th class
$80month for the M/W/F class
$110month for the M-F class

Class runs 9-11:55am daily.

Ds3 goes MWF 8am-12pm for $135/month. The TTH is $125/month so I went for the 3 days, although I think 2 days is plenty at 3! It's worked out fine though, there are a lot of Mon. holidays.

In the 3 year program for 2 days/week, 9-11:15, we paid $120/month. For the 4 year program for 3 days/week, 9-11:30, we pay $135/month. That is relatively inexpensive here, but it's a co-op at the church.

My almost 4 year old goes M-T-W from 8:30 to 1:00. It costs 400 a month.
They are enrolling now for the 4 year old pre-k. They want 730 a month for 5 days from 8:30 to 3:30. I'm not doing that. Florida has a free program for four year olds so I am looking into that. I just think $730 is alot of money. Yet alot of people around here are spending that kind of money.

If anybody is from Florida and knows about the free pre-k I would love to here what info you have about it.
