How much do you pay for pre-school?

DS3 goes MWF from 9-12 and I think the tuition is around $240/month. DS2 goes on same schedule and I think it is around $260/month. (guess they add a premium for the "terrible twos" :rotfl: )

I'm in MA too. When DD8 was in private preschool, I paid $15/day for 3 hours each day. For more than 2 days a week, the rate was a little less than the $15 day rate...she went 3 days her second year there and it was $42 for the week.

DD5 went to public preschool, but I don't know what the rate was there. I didn't have to pay the tuition because she was receiving speech therapy there so it was free.

Ours is the same for all ages, 1-4.

Hours are 9:00-1:00

M-F is $200
M,W,F is $130
T,Th is $90

DD is in 4 yr old Pre-k MWF 9-4 we pay $342 every six weeks- part of the public school district

4 year old private pre-kindergarten
830-1230 M-F snack and lunch included $125 a WEEK

$500-625 a month.

I have two in preschool, fulltime, and pay almost $1000 EACH MONTH for the two of them......which is comparable to the average sitter ($400-$500+ a child). Needless to say that although I don't want them to grow up too fast, it will be nice in two years when they are both in school :goodvibes

I am on preschool PTO and these are our prices........

older 2 yr olds, 2 days, 2 hours each, $80 a month
3 yr olds, 3 days a week, 2 1/2 hours each, $120 a month
4 yr olds, 5 days a week, 2 1/2 hours each, $190 a month

DS M-W-F 9 TO 12 WAS $185 a month for 3YO's. Pre-K is M-W-F 9-2 $415 a month.

Our public school has open enrollment for PreK. DD goes M-F from 8-3 and it's free!! Ds 2 and1/2 goes to a daycare/preschool on T/TH from 8 to 5 and we pay 148.00 a month. 18 months to go and he'll be in enrolled in the public school system!! :cool1:

DS3 goes to a private preschool that costs $80 a month for 2.5 hrs on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They are the cheapest around but the most sought after also. They are the only ones in the area that are just preschool with no daycare/extended care. Next year tuition will be $125 for 3 mornings.

I noticed while looking that places that are daycare centers charge daycare prices no matter how long they are there. They just call it preschool. I was lucky to find a great program at a church that has tues/thurs for 3yo's for 45$ a month. The 4yo's m/w/f is 70$ a month if I remember correctly. They are both 9-11:30.

I am going through this right now. For a typical MWF 1/2 day program, the least expensive is $654/ month for all 3 ( that is including a sibling discount ) The program I really wanted would run me over a 1000 for the month :scared1:

Right now Logan (3 year old class) goes every Friday from 9:30-11:30 it's 22 a month. Next year he will go Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:11:30 and it's 70 a month. ( 4 year old class)

The school I REALLY want Lily to go to is sky high IMO, but has excellent reviews. Of course being cluless I had no idea how much preschool was running, I about fell over. I'm working on just accepting living in the poor house. ;)

Here are the charges: (in suburb of DFW, TX)

Full Day, 5 days a week:
$1,150 month

Full Day, m/w/f
$840 month

Full Day, t/t
$630 month

1/2 day, 5 days a week
$809 month

1/2 day, m/w/f
$593 month

1/2 day, t/t
$446 month

This year we pay for DS, who is 3, $124 a month. It's a Pre-K at a church and he goes T, W, TH 9-12. If we let him stay for lunch bunch it's $3 extra a day for 1 hour.

Next year he'll be eligible for the Ga Pre-K program. If he gets in, it's free and runs from 8-2:30. Extras would be meals(paid by the month), and after-care(paid by the week). Family circumstances are making us look into this scenario very closely.

see, now that would be perfect! I just can't seem to find anything that isn't a preschool, no extended daycare. can I ask where you are? pm me if you are more comfortable doing it that way.

My son goes to the YMCA for his pre-school classes. We pay 170.00 a month for 5 days a week, this is with a membership discount. It also includes swimming classes on Wed. He goes from 12 - 3. :)

dd3 Goes to a church preschool three days a week from 9 to 11:30 for 150.00 a month. All three of us love the school and are signing her up for next year tomorrow.

We pay around 1,200 for a year for my DD to go to a catholic preschool (part of a elementry school.) MWT 12:00 to 3:15 (3.15 hours.) Sept to May

Last year it was just under 1,000 for 2 days a week.

This is a bit more then some of the programs I looked into (some we co op, parents helped out.) It is a good program, small and everyone is very close. I don't plan to seed my DD to elementry school next year, (she will go to the puplic.)
