How much do the Spiderman and MIB rides spin?

Hi,

I have been reading about the Spiderman and MIB rides and it says that they spin. Both DH and I are not fan of rides that spin. When we take our kids on the tea cups we barely spin it and both of us have gotten sick on the Tilt a Whirl. Do these rides spin alot? Or is it just the occasional spinning?

Thanks,
Susan :D

Spiderman doesn't spin much at all. MIB spins more. It will give one complete spin occasionally but at the end it will spin three times.

I believe Spiderman is 3 times thru the tunnel. It used to be 4 but that was kinda intense. Spiderman isn't that bad.
MIB is worse. If the people in the other car shoot your exhaust port, you spin a few times, and then it can happen again. Plus at the very end of the ride when you pass under the bug, you spin about 3 times. There's 3 seats on MIB, try sitting in the middle one.

As others have said, MIB is worse than Spiderman, but neither spin like the teacups or Tilt-A Whirl (I have a hard time with TaW).

I get v sick on all spinning rides - can't do teacups - I'm okay on Spiderman and on MIB - because you are in control of the car turning from left to right to shoot, you don't feel sick. At the end you go through a tunnel and spin round a few times - but I didn't feel sick - I was told when the spin was about to happen so that helps alot. I think if it spun like that alot I would feel sick - but it's just at the end through a sort of vortex - nothing to worry about.

Thanks for this info Rob, I have posted a question before about seating arrangements on rides (wether a family of four can ride together) guess this one slipped through.

MIB seats you three across and there are at least two rows, maybe three, so a family of 4 can all ride together

MIB- 2 rows of 3.

Party of 4 sits either 2 and 2, or 3 and 1, but most of the time the employees will seat you 2 and 2.

Hi,

Thanks so much for the responses, I really appreciate the info. Plus I got a bonus on the seating on MIB, I was wondering about that.

Thanks,

My husband does not like spin rides either. He has ridden both of these. MIB bothered him a lot, and he did not do it again. Spiderman bothered him some, but he did this attraction several times. He found the spinning on MIB to be much worse. Hope this helps. Pam

I also do not like spinning rides, but have no problem on either of these since they are not a continuous spin, just sporadic. I have ridden MIB many times and never felt queasy.

Hi,

Thanks agin for the info. I am going to try both rides. DH still hasn't made his mind up.

Thanks again,
Susan:D

I am very prone to motion sickness, and I wore a sea sick patch for my entire trip. I had no problems on any of the rides, but think I would have if I weren't wearing it.

My BF doesn't usually get sick, but wasn't feeling too hot after Spiderman. I gave him a Bonine, and he was fine for the next 5 times I made him ride it.

You may also want to avoid Cat in the Hat after a meal; that spins a bit as well.

Maybe try taking a Bonine the night before. I did a test run with bonine one day and it made me very sleepy, but if I had of taken it at night I probably would have been fine the next day and there would have been some of the medicine in my system (it lasts for 24 hours, but the sleepiness was worse for me the first few hours). In the future I won't ride Mission to Space without doing this.

My DH cannot handle rides that spin like Tilt a Whirl, but loves both MIB and Spiderman. During the spin on MIB, either lean slightly forward, or put your head all the way back on the headrest to help with any dizziness. Even though I love rides that spin, on MIB I have to lean sllightly forward to keep from feeling weird during the last spin. My husband can ride MIB several times in a row; I could ride all day (except that then I would miss the Ghostbusters Show). Can't have that!

I too am very prone to motion sickness.

I got very quesy on Cat-in-the-hat

I did not feel well for about an hour after both Spiderman and MIB. I chilled while my boys hit the ride again and had a cold drink. That seemed to help.
