How much did you make the first year you worked?

I don’t remember but for my first job my check after taxes was $104.51. In 1982 for a factory job.

My first paying job was working for my dad - I think I made like $5 an hour working various jobs with his plumbing company.

When I turned 16, I got certified as a lifeguard, so I did that for the rest of high school. I think I made somewhere between $5.75 and $7 an hour.

First job out of college, I made $25,000 a year.

My first job at age 16 was at a mall fast food place in 1995. I made like 5 something an hour. I remember I made less than the minimum required to pay taxes, so I got a refund that year.

My first "salary" job out of college was as an HR/Billing assistant at a small business and I made $34000/year. That was in 2001.

I won't count my part time job in high school. When I got my first "annual salary" job in 1982, I was paid $11,700 per year.

I made $985 in 1976 working as a file clerk in an insurance office right after high school

My first job was working in a dog boarding/animal rescue facility for the then-minimum wage of $4.25/hr in the mid-90s. Since it was just a summer job, I doubt I made more than a few hundred bucks.

My very first job was picking blueberries at age 13 and I made a total of $39 getting paid 13 cents per quart picked. The first job I had where I had taxes taken out was when I turned 16 and worked in a fast food restaurant for $1.30 an hour.

first non under the table job-minimum/1978-california so $2.65 per hour

worked allot of part time jobs (multiples at the same time) during my college years, some paid minimum some above a bit (under the table few day temp jobs paid as much as $10 an hour so those were great, being a clown at a kid's birthday party paid $50 for an hour or twos work so it while it was infrequent it was great income).

first salaried (no o/t paid-exempt per the law-, minimal/lousy benefits) 1987 $1100 per month (minimum was $3.35 per hour so that wasn't bad). a year later i had gone up to $1300 (and minimum had raised to $4.25) but i took a civil service job. it was a no brainer-entry level was $1500 a month, after 6 months you got a 5% raise then auto promoted into another classification that paid 5% higher that you stayed in for 6 months at which time you got another 5% (and 5% every year thereafter until you took other promotions to move to higher paying classifications so you didn't max out). this did not include whatever c.o.l.a. raises were negotiated (back then a minimum of 4 or 5% per year was the norm). went from no o/t pay to time and a half, reasonably priced med/dental, a pension plan, 1 week to 3 weeks paid vacation, 5 days to 12 days paid sick.

My first job in 1981 was $15,000.00 per year. I wasn’t real happy with the job, but stuck it out for four years to have some tangible experience on my resume.
