How Much Did I Pay For This Self Inflicted Fun? A Wigdout trip report.

Harper is absolutely adorable.
The desserts at PTC look so yummy. I wish I had smores for lunch today.

Yay awesome update.
Thanks! You were one of the co-stars!
Too bad Matt and Megan missed dinner...I sure hope they start to feel better soon! Dinner sounds like it was a great time - good food and DIS meets! :goodvibes

That sundae looks amazing! Yum!
They really wanted to be better! So if the power of positive thinking carries any weight.....
Dinner was fun!

Yay! A fun update! Harper is so dang cute. I loved Stitch all dressed up for the holidays. That's cool that he and Donald both were right there in the lobby!
We noticed holiday characters in other resorts as well, it was very cool!

50's PT looks like fun but I can't seem to interest anyone in my family in going there. Guess I'll bring it up again for a future trip
This wasn't our first time eating there and won't be our last. Next time I'll have the fried chicken, it's very good! I'm sure Shocker will go for the Tuna again...

Glad Baylor is feeling better and so far you and Marc are well. Have a good weekend!
Today was the day I was worried we would get sick, so far, so good.:thumbsup2

Great update! I love seeing Harper and Baylor.
The Prime Time meet looked fun.
We had fun, and it was good to get some food in Harper!:goodvibes

At home you like to Dis
and shop on ebay and disneyshopping.com
. :)
I do, so true....
you know most of my secrets.
;)
I agree. Keep the schoolwork at school as much as possible. Sometimes it's not possible. Sometimes I bring it home with me with good intentions, and it sits untouched.
Dis or do schoolwork? Hmmmm.
Guess what's still sitting untouched?
I did clean out my closet though!
:wizard:

Katie - We did love Cape May and have recommended it to others who have also loved it. Look back on our summer trip and try to find July 30th. That's the day we were there. I'll look when I have time, too, so maybe you can see some pictures.
::yes:: Just like I said. I can't wait to try it!
How fantastic you got to meet with so many DISers, especially Dawn and her crew :goodvibes
We did meet some wonderful people! Dawn, Dan, Marc, and I have some real common experiences between us! Plus we both have Baylors!:goodvibes

I love the photo of Harper in the bath, so cute, even with the dummy in her mouth :)
Shocker kept telling me to take that thing out of her mouth, now that I see it in her pictures I see what he meant!:cutie:

Great update and great pictures!
Thanks! So many are in our photo pass and we are waiting for the rest of our group to return from their trips!

Great update! That is so great that you got to meet up with so many DISers!

Those s'mores might have just been ok, but they sure look good!
They did look great, I just wish they had a real Hershey bar in them!
Why is it that each of these pictures gets progressively more violent?:lmao: He must have been just an actor in the first movie and then actually had experience as a substitute by the end.

I'm off to read your update now!
What do you suppose those students did to him, could it have been a high school or maybe middle school.....
We had to get to our ADR at Brown Derby or we would have been with them. Funny that I'm at the exact same place on my TR. Getting ready to post about our meal at BD. I hate that we missed you that night, but at least we got more opportunities to meet up with you!

It was so funny when we were hanging out with Dawn & her crew, the whole time Treyner was talking about meeting Keely. Glad they got to hang out!
I'll bet his comments were much different that night verses later in the trip.....
I wish you could have stopped over too...
We were just wiped out that evening, traveling with sickies and a toddler is certainly different for me!

We  our Cape May Cafe breakfast a couple of years ago. So much fun! I only have pictures of my kids with characters and no TR so I can't show you them but it was really, really fun!
I'm so sold on going you can't believe how excited I am!
Anita -

I am so glad you didn't procrastinate and you did an update today! What a great first evening. So many Dis'ers, so little time. Sorry the food was just "eh". I have to say that those sundaes look pretty yummy.

Seeing that picture of harper in the bathtub is probably the highlight of my day. She is just so precious. She looks like she just woke up and is full of energy!

I hope the rest of the gang starts to feel getter soon!
All I had to do was take a look in photobucket and it was easy to get the update going! I really like 50's PT we'll go back!
Harper loved running into see us in her jammies!

It sounds like PTC rated about a "C" on food quality.

460 steps makes me tired. Let's guess right now how far I'll be....

I hope M and M make a quick recovery.
It was a lot of steps.....
By sure will....M and M were up the next morning bright and early!

Happy, happy DIS meets! I'm not sure there's much better than meeting fellow DIS'ers in the world... a nicer bunch of folks, I have not met. Not that I've met all of them yet but you get the idea.

50's Primetime looks like a fun evening. I ate there many years ago but may have to go back again.

Looking forward to more!! popcorn::
We had a great time! DISers are the best bunch I agree with you! We sure have a great bunch that we hang out with around here anyway...
You should go back to 50's PT it's not too far from our favorite place!
:goodvibes
Yeah an update! I'm sorry everyone didn't make dinner but glad you got to meet up with disers. I love the pictures especially the one of Harper in the tub. She's such a doll binky and all. We hit 50s last trip. I had the pot roast and it was fatty then too but still had a good flavor.

How do you get Baylor to take pictures with characters? Danielle will only do it about half the time.

Looking forward to the next update.
He jumps right into those pictures no problem, I don't know, we haven't had a problem since he was in the first grade...
The pot roast did have a good flavor but I spent too much time picking around the blubber.
Next time, it's fried chicken.
Great time though, good friends, lots of laughs!

Thanks for those comments! MeMom, after some searching I finally found your pictures and this is definitely the way I am leaning!
Yes, you should, MeMom advise is the voice of reason.....:thumbsup2
Unlike me who is trying to talk her into to being a bad, bad MeMom....

:thumbsup2 Great uodate. Sorry about your pot roast, too much fat always ruins it for me too. Harper is a cutie.

Great pictures and great meets!! :cool1:
That is really cool that Donald and Stitch were in the lobby for pictures! :thumbsup2
I ate at 50's once and had a fun and good meal. I had the fried chicken ;) The mashed potatoes were sooooo good and my nephews got in trouble several times...very funny! I had the smores too :thumbsup2
Harper in the bathtub is so adorable! What a cutie! :cutie:
Isn't it funny (not really) how kids don't want to spend their own money? One more reason I am looking forward to an adult trip in May.

Tracy
When I first saw Donald in the lobby I almost wet myself! Our own private Donald and Baylor wasn't even down there....
I couldn't get anyone to answer a cell phone or text (well, Megan and Matt were in the room that we weren't staying in dying) and I didn't want to walk 460 steps to get him.
Finally they answered and sent him running down!

Harper cracked me up in that tub!

Keeley will never ever spend her own money, Megan will go through hers fast! So will Baylor...zoom!

An update hooray!

PTC is on my list of places to do, but I think my kids would not get it for a while.

Hope Baylor is feeling better and is back to normal soon. We had a work day yesterday... so no schoolwork for me to do this weekend. I even have my report cards done(my portion)-a true miracle.
The kids won't get it but you might like it just for the food. You just can't count on the roast. It has been good though!
Doesn't it feel good to have your school work done?

Fun update---Awww, that picture of little Harper in the tub with her binky was too cute. :cutie:

The pic with Harper in her stroller and Stitch standing behind her cracked me up. She's sitting there so calmly, makes me wonder what she would have been doing if she could see Stitch?!?
If she knew he was there she would have been watching him to make sure he wasn't getting any closer....

Yay, an update!!!!

Great pictures. I haven't eaten there in a LONG time.. probably way before we even had kids and our oldest will be 16 soon.

Glad Baylor is up and about.

We have a funky week at school coming up. We only go on Tuesday and Wednesday. Wouldn't it be a great time to go to WDW?:cool1:
Yes, you should go to Disney and eat at 50's PT! Go for it!
This is just tooo funny!! Now the story of your evening unfolding, of course I am sorry you had sick ones in your group, but it is fun to hear what you were doing while all those messages were flying back and forth on the phone!! You know I did run into 50s Prime Time looking for you that night. I don't think I told you that! I can't remember the time, it was like 8:30 or so, I bet we just missed you! Anyhow, I am glad we caught up the next day :rotfl: well it was three days ago on my TR, but whose counting!!!! Great pics, and great storytelling, and I LOVED that 50s Prime Time Tree! WE enjoyed our lunch there, too! It was only what seven hours earlier??!! I made an ADR for the Sci Fi Diner -- I know it doesn't come with great reviews, but we have to try it at least once!!!!
I wish you would have texted me when you were in there, I bet we were around! Oh well, we did have our special time together!:grouphug:
Harper is so cute in that picture. I bet you don't spoil her at all. :rolleyes1

I want to try 50's next time. It seems to get mixed reviews, but there just ins't much to pick from at HS in my opinion.

Can't wait to hear all about the next day. I'm guessing MK and Dumbo.
Have you tried Brown Derby? Cobb Salad is my favorite! Just go in and get the salad pay out of pocket then get a desert. Super yum! You should try 50's PT too, it's good!
Good update. Looks like a good meet. Do I see another ticker?
I'm wondering about this mystery ticker...
Harper is just so stinkin cute in those jammies in the tub!

:goodvibes

Love Santa Stitch, I've never seen him before. I'm glad you were able to get out and have a fair amount of DIS meets. Bummer about the pot roast, we got the same reaction from our crew on that. I personally think that tuna noodle casserole is the bomb!

Hoping the rest of the crew is well by morning and you all sleep well. What a LONG day!
We slept like logs but were up bright and early!
I wish I had ventured down to Shockers end of the table and tasted that tuna casserole.
Next time fried chicken, I tell ya!
There were some other Christmas Characters out that you don't normally see. Very cool!

ewwww...Tuna cassarole???

Dis meets are so fun! part of why I like them is then I can tell my kids that my dis friends aren't imaginary..
We are real!
I saved all the pictures from the meet. Because I forgot to take pictures that day. I'm glad ya'll stepped up to the plate and took them :D
You were too nervous!
Yeay! You did an update!!!

Sorry that Megan and Matt were still feeling horrible!

I am digging the tree at PTC! Had you eaten there before? Is the food always just ok? Just wondering...:rolleyes1

Fun DIS meets! I guess I didn't realize that you had been able to meet up with Dawn and her family! I bet you had a great time with them!

I am with everyone else -- Harper is just the cutest thing EVER sitting in the tub!!! Can't wait to see what her first park and ride is going to be!
Wasn't that tree cute?
Yes! Dawn and the gang came and found us at dinner! We were so happy to see them!
We have had better luck before at 50's PT, I say go for it. I'll go back. I was really the only one that wasn't crazy about it this time and it was just my roast and the s'mores. Others really like them. Well, maybe not the fatty meat. I've had great roast there before though. The mashed potatoes and other vegetables were really good though, I just ate around the fat....
I had some of Baylor's chicken and it was delicious!
So if you are thinking of going there I say YES! Be sure to misbehave!

rockin-roller-coaster.jpg
Well as you all know, she isn't tall enough for that one!
:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2: That little daredevil!!!
You can just take her anywhere!:rotfl2:
Great update and pics, Wigd. We always called the pacifier a husher 'cause it hushes the baby. :rotfl:
We went to PTC on our very first trip and the girls just didn't "get it". :sad2: Well for this trip Brittany's BFF picked it for one of our ressies, hopefully it'll go over better. :goodvibes
It works pretty good as a "husher". I think that's why Megan gives it to her so often.
I hope you have fun at 50's PT!

Wonderful update. Harper is such a cutie! One day hopefully it will work out that we are all there at the same time and the girls can all play together!
We plan on taking Harper back when she is 3. I hope we can make sure that go at the same time then! It would be fun to have those little girls together! Brooklynn could herd them around!

Did you have a fun waitress at PT 50's? The food is not wonderful, just OK, but we seem to go back each time just for the atmosphere and the fun. Last time we went with my husbands family my niece had to sing little teapot and my BIL had to stand in the corner.

Our waitress didn't make us do those things but she did scold Shocker and she did take good care of us! The fried chicken was fantastic! I should have had that! I'm not sure what Keeley would have done if she was told to stand in the corner or sing....:confused3

HOLY CRAP Wigd!!! I tried so hard to catch up today but you are ONE POPULAR CHICKIE!!! I read your first 3 installments...so sorry for all of the sickness:sick: I have to ask, are there any updates after that, the responses are overwhelming to get through! Thanks for the cheat links!:thumbsup2

Diane:goodvibes

Glad to hear M and M were better the next morning. Disney has that effect on people.:thumbsup2
They were so excited for this trip. I just hated it that they were sick!

Wigd's bday trip
Ohhhh yea! It's another couples only. We are wait listed for BLT the first 2 nights but have it the last 3. Isn't it a shame that Baylor is tired of Disney already in his young life? Oh well, fun times for Shocker and I!

Diane:goodvibes

Hi Diane, I did an update yesterday, need to link it up, I'll do that right now!
I think it got so busy because I started off with the contest and souvies! I know, kind of backwards....
:lmao:

Sorry to hear Baylor was sick! Glad to hear he is feeling better. Loved your update. The picture of Harper and Stitch is too cute! It sounds like you all had a nice night. Glad to hear Megan and Matt were feeling better in the morning. We took our youngest to WDW when he was 16 months and then back again this time when he was just turning 4. It was amazing how different the trips were for him. So much fun!

It was a nice night in spite of the sickies, they were so sick they just had to stay in and sleep. We were tired so me made an early night of it and were up and ready for the day in the morning!

Harper loved running into see us in her jammies!

Unlike me who is trying to talk her into to being a bad, bad MeMom....

Harper was sweet in her jammies.

I like it when we have connecting rooms and I get to see the girls first thing in the mornings still in their pj's, too. I love seeing Brooklynn's sleepy face in the mornings, and with Bella, she just wakes up smiling and starts talking right away. I think she's saying, "Hey everybody, we're in Disney World! Wake up and let's go!"

Without your coercion, I have been a bad, bad MeMom far too often. That is exactly why I am in the sinking ship I am in right now. I just made a payment to my card today. I have to keep doing that faithfully and sacrifice the little things, like food, electricity, water, etc., from now until May. Then I should be good to go for the June take-off.

Hi!! I just found your TR!! I'm excited to read it as we're planning a trip to WDW this December!! :goodvibes

Hi! Welcome! I've seen you around, we seem to travel in the same group of DISers....
Feel free to use the links on page 1 unless you want to read the chit chat, if you do feel free!
Glad you are here!
We fell in love with December! What are your date? Are you writing a PTR?
I should check your siggie!
:goodvibes

Great update...:yay:

Hurray for Dismeets at PTC...

although I have to admit that the waitresses at PT freak me out a bit..they remind me a teeny bit of the nuns I had in the 1st and 2nd grades... (and they always seem to sense the person who is the most effected by them)

So sorry that the Ms were still sick but I'm hoping some good rest puts thems back on their feet...:thumbsup2

Baylor is one of the happiest kids ever...he's always smiling...like he really means it...:lmao:...he looks like he be a total pleasure to be around...

I love PTC! I always have a great time there! Last year I had to hold a sugar packet to the wall after having my elbows on the table....;) Looks like you guys had a blast! I agree though, the food could be better.

Thank you!! Yes, it does seem like we know a lot of the same DISers!! :goodvibes We haven't totally settled on specific dates yet but we're leaning towards the week after Thanksgiving. I am writing a PTR but it is for our May trip!! We're going 2 times this year!! :woohoo:

Guess what I did last night? (Hmm, I am almost scared to leave that for fear of what picture Shocker could find ;))

1-I booked 50's PTC for our June trip!! I checked out the kids menu to make sure my DD could find something to eat and then just went for it! I'm pretty excited!!

2-I started a PTR for my two upcoming trips!! Anyone and everyone Pretty Please come on over and read!!:thumbsup2
