How Much Did I Pay For This Self Inflicted Fun? A Wigdout trip report.

Yes - but is there some secret system for stalking those emails? I asked the Timeshare guy and he sort of "hmmphhhd" me. He made me feel a little stupid. He gave me the sarcastic, "Well...THOSE small point contracts go fast". No Duh, but do you need to be a professional stalker to know exactly when that email comes? I mean, come on - That contract sold in 30 minutes. How does that happen without some inside system?

Then he tells me they release the email when Disney gives it to them. Huh? :confused3 Does that make any sense to you? If so, please explain.

Anyway - I guess if I had email on a blackberry I would have an advantage, but I'm not adding email to my phone just to stalk the timeshare store.

Is there an option to set up a text alert for the e-mails or for the site itself?

Mmmm...

Wow, I love this!

Sorry you had to wait (and walk) so long for your villa, but at least you got the one you wanted! It's beautiful, too!

Anita, AirTran released more sale fares on their site today from Dallas to Orlando! I was very upset for much of the day, because my cheap-ish flight on Travelocity that was going to get me in to Orlando relatively early had disappeared, and the flight less-than-ideal times had gone up almost $50/ticket. I was convinced that we weren't going to get to go, after all.

When I got home a few minutes ago, I checked AirTran's website (for some reason, I can't access it at work), and was able to get great flight times for under $650 for the two tickets (yesterday, this same flight combo was running nearly $600 PER TICKET!). Of course, we leave on the first leg at 5:40am :scared1: which means leaving our house no later than 3:15am :scared1::scared1:, but we'll be in Orlando around 2:00, and our departing flight doesn't leave until nearly 8:00pm on the 18th. If you guys haven't booked a flight today, you should check AirTran again!

Hmm, and for another $75, we can actually be in Orlando at 12:30pm on 3/13. That would give us the extra 1/2 day in the parks... but it would mean either a)staying near the airport the night before or b)leaving our house at 3:30am that morning (we live about an hour from DFW).... lots to think about for me too...
We are still checking on airfare....
Anita, we stayed overnight in Dallas on both legs of our trip. Stayed at a really nice Hampton Inn that was close to the airport. They have a shuttle to and from, so we left our car there for the week. They told us it would be $5 per night for parking on the nights that we weren't actually there, but never charged us. I stayed there and did the same thing once before and wasn't ever charged for the parking that time either. Not sure if we just got lucky both times or what, but I was thrilled with free parking for the week. Anyway, if you decide that you're going to fly out of Dallas and want the address of the hotel we stayed at, I'll be glad to look it up for you!
That's fantastic, if we end up in Dallas for the night, I'll get that from you, thanks Michelle!
I'm not a teacher either but I am a school secretary so I help keep the teacher's reallllllllly organized - does that count????
Oh, gosh, what ever would we do without out our school secretary and office staff? You totally count?
Not to be a thread stealer but I found this thread that is pretty cool that has a bunch of cool signature pictures and saw some you might like..

I'll be right over to check that out! :thumbsup2
I know I'm way behind, but congrats on the BWV...one of the best resorts!
I'm excited for the Boardwalk! Although creeped out by the clown...
Did I mention how happy I am to be so close to my Beach Club and those heavenly breakfast yogurt parfaits? Oh yea and the Boardwalk Bakery?

Whew! I was frighteningly far behind but am all caught up. Loved the rest of your shopping goodies, especially the hoodie sweatshirts.

The villa looks great - so cozy and comfy. Other than the walk from the elevatore seem just divine.

Congrats on the spring break trip! Very, very exciting, indeed. I am anxiously awaiting a Shocker PTR and Shocker planned ADRs!! And BLT sounds perfect too. Ever since I saw the DVC model with the big tub perfectly aligned with a castle view I've been dreaming of it. The modern decor doesn't do much for me but that view :cloud9:

MEK- hang in there for the 100 pt BCV. They DO come along. I may know someone who is waiting to hear back on one right now... :rolleyes1
Check out Shocker's new thread over on the PTR threads! It's up and going!
Boy it was a long trek to our villa, but we were at Disney so it was all good! I wonder how long we will have to walk at the Boardwalk.....

I just know when we bought our smaller contracts Shocker was checking his email at work and saw the contracts. He came down to my room and asked me and was able to call quick....

You need to check into that, I wouldn't be surprised if there were...

It was great for us! The toffee was super yummy!
Just got this email today about spring break fare being on sale (SW) and thought of you all! Haven't checked the prices.... hope it helps!

I did check, it was almost $1,000 for the 2 of us... and that was driving 6 hours to Dallas.

We will keep looking but so far no luck...

Depending on what day of the week you are going, there are flights for $94 from Nashville. If only I had $94! :upsidedow

Those snacks just keep looking better and better! I may have to do some treat-making around here soon. :)

$94, there has to be a way! Put your thinking cap on!

Anita,
I am finally caught up. We are still trying to figure out our spring break schedule...Hilton Head is an option or the Keys. Great Deals in both places.

I can't wait till the next installment! I need to post a bunch in a hurry so I am not so far behind you!:)

Wow. Well what is exciting about this is that something might just show up, you know? Stranger things have happened and you still have time... heck you get to go to Disney and that just ROCKS!!! Driving or flying -- who cares! It will be way fun. :thumbsup2

You know - I am starting to think that the reason I didn't get that 50 point contract at SSR is because there is a perfect BCV contract waiting for me. And now that Denny is on board, I think I will just do my time until I find what I'm looking for. It would be nice to get a new contract. Then I could stay DVC in the fall without borrowing MORE points!

ps - seriously excited for you!!!!!! I hope you get pass ROFR soon!

Mary Ellen,There is a really sweet 200 point contract for Beach Club listed today... I know, that's double what you were wanting....:rolleyes1

I need to spend some time tonight getting caught up on some other threads, I'll be over to yours this evening!

The only thing about driving that worries me is the fact that I may be worn out when we get back and I'll have all that unpacking to do and then school the next day.
If we fly, I'll have the weekend to get my act together....
Either way, I get to go to Disney!
:yay:

Hey - check flying into Atlanta. For us to Orlando or Miami round trip was almost $400 pp. Atlanta was $200. It would cut our drive to the Keys from 30 hours to 12. To Orlando is like 6 hours from Atlanta.

Hmmmmm very creative, we'll check that out!

Sorry to hear the SW fares weren't great... I didn't have to time to check them...always running somewhere with 3 little ones. :) Some of my extended family grabbed $59 fares to and from Dallas/MCO for December (17th and 22nd) so I'll hold out hope for you guys that a great rate comes through!

I can sure try to make one of those. I know we have lightbulbs around here, so that's a good start. :thumbsup2

Man how did I get so many pages behind on this report :confused3 First of all:

460 steps??? I wasn't even close. But I bet you would have much preferred my guess of 37 steps:lmao:

I love the pics of ALL the souvies!! I also bought the notepads online back in Nov. & I get the 16 month calendar every year. I love it!!

Yay for the spring break trip!! My DH & I are going alone in May (first trip without my 2 DS's) and staying at BC. Any advice????
