I'm not a teacher but I'd willingly be a "student" for the field trip.

I'm not a teacher either, but I work at a school. Does that count?

Hey...Here's another teacher taking a quick spring break trip. I'll actually be going as a chaperone on my DD's band trip. We'll be there March 19-March 23. (Our spring break is 22-26.)

OH, and I'd love a Spring Break trip, but our Spring Break is the week of Easter and I do not want to go that week!!

We'll be there for next year's Spring Break though.

DH might kill me when he finds out, but I've booked us a room (well, two) for Spring Break. First 3 nights at SSR, last 2 at BCV - waitlisted the first 3 at BCV as well. Now to convince him that $650 is reasonable to spend on airfare for two people... or else he might make me cancel the ressies! If our annual passes didn't expire on the 15th, I could have gotten the whole stay at BCV easily, but there's no point in going if we can't use the APs one last time... we certainly can't afford tickets this time around!

Hmmm, I better get on the ball with ADRs if we actually want to eat any food while we're there! It's barely 2 months out!!!

All the talk about DVC add-ons and DVC vacations has made Denny and I decide that we will probably add on. So today I check my email and there it is ..... a nice little 50 point contract at SSR, my use year, fully loaded with 100 points coming in March, $68 a point. I called 45 minutes after the posting arrived and it was....... SOLD! What the heck??????? There must be something better out there for me, but I am backup buyer in case it falls through. Yeah - what's the chance of that? So I'm going to keep looking for a 50 - 100 point something! (Boy would I love 100 points at BCV).

OK, now I really must know how you keep up with all of this! A MASSIVE TR on top of a PTR???? Plus working and running a household........ what is your secret? Are you on some sort of energy pill?

Shocker is writing the PTR, it started last night! I've fallen behind terribly on my subscribed trip reports but I'm trying to get caught up! The house, well after being gone to a basketball tournament this weekend, I'm lucky to have a bit of laundry done....

I'll go down and do some time on the treadmill this evening and catch up on some trip report reading. That was Jennifer's suggestion! I think that will help!

Loved all the souvies. Loved the balcony and the view. Loved the pics with Donald in front of the tree. Loved the bathroom tile! Sounds like a winner of a trip so far even with the sickness.

Aw, We're looking at December 31-January 4. We go back to school on the 5th, but we don't get out until December 21.

Is there parking right by the villas at Kidani the way there is at OKW?

I don't think we will go that late, maybe, but not likely...

Shann there is a parking garage at Kidani If you were using the garage it would be most convenient to be on the side of the resort near the garage or else it will be a lonnnnng walk.

Hey, I recognize that room! The one thing I really didn't care for about Kidani was the lighting in our room - did it seem to you guys that it never got very bright in there? Even with all the lights turned on, it wasn't very bright. I imagine they do that for the animals, but wanted to get your input.

And YEAH for a spring break trip for you two! That is so great!!!

I just about spit out my coffee seeing Baylor in the tub with all the bubbles... what a character!

I was a beautiful room! I agree though, not enough light, I even said the same thing.
I cracked up when I saw Baylor in that tub running over with bubbles!

So how many days are you going to get to go to the parks and when are you planning to break the news to your DH? I thought your dates extended past your AP's expiration. Are you just planning to enjoy the resort and DTD?

We also have 1 day left on some non-expiring park hoppers that we bought in Oct. '07, plus I think 3 or 4 water park visits, so that and some time hanging out at BCV would get us through this trip.

We've looked at flying out of Dallas and can't find anything that price, what airline are you using? What date are you flying out? If we could find that price we would fly no doubt about it!

I found it on Travelocity, flying out 3/13 on AirTran (landing at either 9pm or 10pm, depending on flight) and coming back on 3/18, leaving MCO at 7:40pm. There are connections in Atlanta in both directions, but since we don't have kids to wrangle through an airport, that's not too bad.

Hmm, and for another $75, we can actually be in Orlando at 12:30pm on 3/13. That would give us the extra 1/2 day in the parks... but it would mean either a)staying near the airport the night before or b)leaving our house at 3:30am that morning (we live about an hour from DFW).... lots to think about for me too...

Anita, we stayed overnight in Dallas on both legs of our trip. Stayed at a really nice Hampton Inn that was close to the airport. They have a shuttle to and from, so we left our car there for the week. They told us it would be $5 per night for parking on the nights that we weren't actually there, but never charged us. I stayed there and did the same thing once before and wasn't ever charged for the parking that time either. Not sure if we just got lucky both times or what, but I was thrilled with free parking for the week. Anyway, if you decide that you're going to fly out of Dallas and want the address of the hotel we stayed at, I'll be glad to look it up for you!

Whew! I was frighteningly far behind but am all caught up. Loved the rest of your shopping goodies, especially the hoodie sweatshirts.

The villa looks great - so cozy and comfy. Other than the walk from the elevatore seem just divine.

Congrats on the spring break trip! Very, very exciting, indeed. I am anxiously awaiting a Shocker PTR and Shocker planned ADRs!! And BLT sounds perfect too. Ever since I saw the DVC model with the big tub perfectly aligned with a castle view I've been dreaming of it. The modern decor doesn't do much for me but that view

Yes - but is there some secret system for stalking those emails? I asked the Timeshare guy and he sort of "hmmphhhd" me. He made me feel a little stupid. He gave me the sarcastic, "Well...THOSE small point contracts go fast". No Duh, but do you need to be a professional stalker to know exactly when that email comes? I mean, come on - That contract sold in 30 minutes. How does that happen without some inside system?

Then he tells me they release the email when Disney gives it to them. Huh? Does that make any sense to you? If so, please explain.

Anyway - I guess if I had email on a blackberry I would have an advantage, but I'm not adding email to my phone just to stalk the timeshare store.
