How Much Did I Pay For This Self Inflicted Fun? A Wigdout trip report.

Sorry you are at school today, Anita, Marc, and Jen! I am so glad we aren't because the roads are completely iced. Very scary! One of the leading stories this morning was the 29 car pile up near the Hartsfield-Jackson Airport. I hope everyone stays safe today! We will be staying right here at home.

I just never understand why people drive in ice... that is the worst type of "bad" weather there is. The most dangerous. Hopefully no one was seriously injured.

I'll start working on this and hopefully Marc will get the pictures taken and loaded by the time I need them...

I'll start out with the things we brought back with us.

Doggie collars for Hunny and Fenway, they didn't have anything small enough for our Chihuahua.

The box did contain two more of the large Liberty Minnies for a total of nine!
Plus two hoodies. I'll show and tell, I promise.

I can't find the other pictures in my photobucket.
Shocker is asleep in his chair. :headache:
Maybe I'll get back to this later.

Wow! You got a boatload of good stuff! I love all those plushies. I'd love to steal that idea for a bulletin board but we don't study anything that I could tie it to and heaven forbid we have a "fun" bulletin board.:sad1:

Hope you guys have a great weekend. I am so tired after this first week back!

Those are some seriously cute dog collars!!! I think my dogs may need those, too!

Fudge from the Magic Kingdom? Oh, what a fun treat to have tonight!

Goofy as a Christmas tree is cracking me up!

Yes, we are fine for a couple more days. Tomorrow should be much better.

We did watch some of Season 2 of Pushing Daisies this afternoon.

We managed to get through it. I just hope tomorrow is better so I can go grocery shopping.

Where did you head for lunch? I was dying for take-out today -- I think it was psychologically knowing it couldn't happen.

Last time we just kept a time sheet and anytime we came in early or stayed late, we could document it. As a teacher, you know that happens a lot so it wasn't a hassle at all to show we had done our eight hours.

He did and complained about how cold it was all day long. This from the man who is always trying to convince me to move to Vermont. He talks a good game.

I made a homemade chocolate cake today which helped pass the day. ;)

I know we have a lot of snowballs that the kids have dragged inside. :lmao:

Looking forward to the souvie pics tonight!!!
I hope you can get out and get some errands run tomorrow too, it will be tough to start the week if you can't get to the store.
I can't believe Charles wants to move to Vermont....
I'm sure it's beautiful there and all, but talk about a long, cold, winter.
I hope I can get a much better souvie post up tonight, that was pretty lame!

NO she didnt!!! :lmao:
Oh come on! You know how much stuff they have at Disney and they just keep bringing it out!
Great collection of stuff! I saw those little key chains and thought they were too cute -- what are you going to do with them?? Also saw the calendar. I should have gotten myself one of those. Maybe in February! ;)

We had a two hour delay this am, but it certainly wasn't as cold as you are decribing! Getting into low 20s this weekend, though.
I have no idea on the key chains, just knew that I "needed" them. I'll think of something! Maybe hang them on my laptop bag. Well, not all of them!
I love having the calendar! It's a daily pick me up....

I just never understand why people drive in ice... that is the worst type of "bad" weather there is. The most dangerous. Hopefully no one was seriously injured.
Even if you creep along on the ice you are not in control of your vehicle. It's scary!

I'm beat too. It's been a long week!
We are lucky, our principal likes creative ideas that the kids enjoy.
:goodvibes

Fudge from the Magic Kingdom? Oh, what a fun treat to have tonight!

Goofy as a Christmas tree is cracking me up!

Honestly the fudge has been gone for a few days.....
actually it all has.

The dog collars came from the fire house on Main Street.
The Goofy Christmas Tree was funny, I'll bet he's at the outlets by now.

Love the dog collars! I think I need to get some for my dogs.
If only disney sold character costumes for canines.

They were, I was Miss Piggy!

They were, I was Miss Piggy!

Oh you and me both.... at least you TOOK photos of your treats, we just gobbled them all up!!! AND mailed them ...:rolleyes1

That toffee is HANDS down the BEST I have ever eaten. It isn't break your teeth hard, it is so tasty! I think these and the smores are my favorite. We bought four pieces -- all gone, as well as four dipped marshmallow sticks (DSs LOVE these...) I do have quite a collection of Mickey straws... I guess I could take a photo of those!!! I bought several of the Ginger bread shingles, and gingerbread cookies at the contemporary, that were shaped like the figures in the mural. TOO cute! I still have two of these so I will take a picture of them (I actually am mailing them to my grandmothers) I may have to borrow your candy photo though!

OH I must make it to DTD on the way to the cruise ship NO question! ;)

I'm going to finally get the bathroom and kitchen done..working on the first coats right now and hopefully will have the second coat done tomorrow morning!

Are you seriously planning a trip in a week, finishing the first semester for your students AND painting your bathroom and kitchen????? :worship:

I stopped making rat stew when the rat farm up the road, shut down a few years back. The little critters we catch in the traps are just too tough even if I cook them up real slow in the crock pot....:rotfl2:

Just corn feed them for a few days before you stew them up :teeth: tastes just like chicken. Works well on opossums too!

I agree with CP, those dog collars are too cute!! And the pictures of those macadamia nut pralines are making me have to wipe drool off my chin........

Okay #1 enabler...I was on eBay after my last post and I am now the owner of a China Pluto! :thumbsup2 $4.58 :woohoo: I also bough a little Figment plush for some combined savings for shipping. ;)
Oh that fudge....there is not much that goes better with chocolate than peanut butter. MMmmmmmm
Cute dog collars!! Ziggy wears a harness when he goes out...he is a little guy but he is super strong and pulls really hard.....he does have a cute Coach collar that is too small now and a matching leash.

Anita, you shop like me! The tree is adorable, so are the key chains and your International mouse collection. I wish they'd give American Mickey nicer shoes. Brown sandals? Why not a pair of red Chuck Taylors?

I'm going to borrow that idea and get one from each country for my classroom. We study global communities and do a mock U.N. Each student is working on a travel guidebook for a country they chose to research and we're doing a class documentary along the lines of Andrew Zimmern's Bizarre World. If your students ever want NYC penpals, let me know.

I am with Jen on Mickey's shoes. Some Converse, Chuck Taylors...I can see it now! Heck put him in Nike's!...it's not that far away from CA. :rotfl:

Those dog collars are adorable, bummer there is nothing smaller, I could easily deck the cats out in those!

The toffee looks divine. Even more divine than usual now that we've eaten every bit I made over the holidays...makes me want to go make another batch but I'd need a snow day of my own for that :goodvibes
