I am really at odds with myself. I want to see Barbra Streisand so bad when she comes to Ft. Lauderdale, but tickets are $200 + for the noseblood section behind the stage. First tier are $750 up. Of course, floor tickets are $1,000 and up. PLUS, Il Divo is opening for her. I can't think of anyone else I would pay this much money for.....but, how can I sleep at night knowing I am paying this much money to see a concert.......HELP!!!!!! :guilty:

Please tell me I am not the only one who read the title of this thread and thought it was some new product from Victoria's Secret or something?

I must be really tired.

OMG!!! :sunny:

I was going to say the same thing. And pay me well.

Didn't she already do a farewell tour?

I agree. You would have to pay me at least $500 to see that show. And I'm not just saying that to be funny, I'm dead serious.

Well if you really have that kind of extra money laying around and it wouldn't hurt anything, I guess you could mark it off a life time wish list. We should try to do a few things in our lifetime that are once in a lifetime thing. Goodluck.

If you can afford the price and really want to see her, then I say go for it. For me personally, there is no concert worth that price. That is just my personal opinion.

My co-worker, who is 24, has saved over $300 a month so she can go see Babs in New York. She has saved almost $1100.
She called to get her tix this morning....not sure where she will be sitting, but she does not care. This is her once in a lifetime thing and she is going!

I say, GO! If you enjoy her music and like her, go!
You may never get this chance again.

Have a great time...get the best tickets you can get.

Lisa

P.S. Personally I love the movie Funny Girl!

If at any time in your life you will look back and regret not spending the money to go then go. Life is too short. :)

like my dad would say

Not even if she was playing in my backyard

You would have to pay me enough to buy a lot of coach bags to see her. I think it wouldc be sheer torture. I don't like her, I don't like her politics and I don't like her music. Free is too much for me to see her.

I remember in the early 90's she had one of her famous farewell tours and my mom really liked her and thought of seeing her. I checked into the prices back then and it was unreal. She was asking up to $1200 dollars for premium seating. I love that term, Premium seating. What a way to treat your loyal fans. Who's she touring with so she can get away with charging 1200 dollars or more? The Pope?

Glad to see she hasn't changed her ways and is charging even more. How much money do you need? When does it become enough? For a woman who preaches about the evil, rich republicans who only seem to care about money, she should take a good look in the mirror. :rolleyes1

That is an obscene amount of money. Is she giving some of it to charity? I would never give that amount of money to a singer unless they were giving some of it away.

Yes, my co-worker said she is giving some money to charity. Notice I said some, I am not sure how much....so don't flame me for it.

I agree.. I paid $200 a ticket for the Eagles and my family thought I was nuts. If I had the money, I would paid up to $500 a ticket to see them.

Holy Moly...she has a high opinion of herself doesn't she? I'm in the camp with the others that said she would have to pay me for the honor of having me listen. I for one, can't stand her or her (lack of) talent.
