We live pretty close to the world so we usually just go down for the day ...but I love the water parks!....When it is unbearable hot ...it is so wonderful to cool off!...
Hope you have a great time whatever you decide!...
I have always wanted to go to the water parks, but just haven't taken the time. The last two times we have had AP's and they don't include the water parks. Some day, when I talk Stephen into it, we will get PAP's and check out the water parks. I love Water World here in Colorado, so I am sure I'd love any water park at WDW. Some day I will go!
Ive never done a water park...well, maybe River Country when I was like 10 if that counts.
I dont really like to go to them because I feel I cant wear my contacts and without them, Im blind as a bat. I cant really enjoy myself. DSs are still young and dont even like waterslides, however they do love our pool at home and have a great time swimming in the resort pools during our "midday break". But as the kids get older they may want to go to one someday, and I guess Ill have to give in then.
We went to Typhoon Lagoon once back in 1995. Although we had a great time, we just never managed to find time on any vacation since to go back to any of the Disney waterparks.
We were a few of the rare people who enjoyed River Country but with that closed I expect that we'll go to Typhoon Lagoon instead. We're not much for slides but the wave pool was a big hit the last time we went and TL is so pretty too IMO.
In the past when we have driven from Illinois and stayed at the World, we visit each park once in the week we are there. But now that we are close we are getting AP's which probally won't include them ( unless I can talk DH into getting the PAP's ). So, we probally won't be going to them much anymore.
Actually, we fit between doing one park on a trip and doing both. It all depends on how long we're staying. The one year we were there for 11 days and we did a water park every afternoon, until they kicked us out for thunderstorms. But we've never gone to WDW and NOT done at least one of the water parks, and that includes River Country. (RC had the best "white water tube" ride!) I will miss River Country, too, Planogirl.
