how many times have your flights changed when you booked far ahead?

We have already booked our flights for December 28th, and I remember 3 years ago, our flight times changed by 15 minutes...

When you book more than 6 months in advance, does it often change or does it all depend on the airline???

Just keep watching! In January, our return flight changed from 4:30 to 1:30, which totally bummed me out - but I kept checking and they eventually added in a 6pm flight and I had no trouble changing to that flight. We were on Song.

I usually book early, because I can't stand waiting for better fares, afraid I won't get a good flight - or worse - having to pick a flight with stops along the way, Yuck!

Call me crazy but we always seem to book around the 330 day mark! and fortunately that is when i have received the lowest fare in years past. As far as flights changing, our flights in july have only changed once since we first booked them in 2003 and the rates just keep going up::yes::

We have never had it happen on Southwest Airlines....We are pritty happy with them....

SWA rarely, if ever, changes their flights. Never had it happened to me with SWA or Delta or American or Air Jam.

I just booked my airline tickets Sunday, and today checked Expedia, and the outbound flight changed by 20 minutes...WOW that was quick!!!!!

louise, i'm sure you have thought to check the airlines directly. I have had it happen in the past that the flight times were different,( by mistake,) than what they actually were according to the airlines website.

Sun Country used to be terrible about their flights changing. I don't know if they have changed but I am unwilling to try again because our experiences were less than pleasant.

NWA has never had a major change. I think one flight changed and left 3 minutes earlier from home. But that's the only change I remember. NWA is pretty good about not making changes, at least on the MCO route.

And I am one of those that books flights as soon as they are available.

I am with Harambe here. I book as early as we can firm up our plans. For our November trip I pulled the trigger in mid-February, as we saw gas prices climbing steadily (gotta love those Oil companies :p ) and determined that Fares were not going to go down significantly, and were more likely to climb. And we missed a discount in late January. JetBlue had not yet released fares for Nov (and still haven't, so we went with good old Song (aka Delta with some style).

Song changed one flight time on us, for January, moving an early morning flight 45 minutes later (thank you!); we enjoyed the extra time to get ready (and sleep). I believe we booked that flight in September, so perhaps roughly 3 months ahead.

3 years ago on delta, our flight times changed 4 times!! I called them and told them this was an inconvienence and they gave us travel vouchers. 2 years ago, the same thing on delta. I just bought on feb 29 on america west for sept this year, and already the times have changed-but only by 2-20 mins so its no big deal, and the return flight has already been assigned a new flight number!!
