How many times have you had COVID?

DH just tested last night, and he tested positive for COVID. This is the Fourth time he's had COVID since it was "discovered" (2020). He flew back home on a long flight several days ago and he says the plane was crowded, the airport was crowded, and the airport lounge was crowded so no doubt he got it someplace on that trip. He's had all the shots, the boosters, most recently 5 months ago, which is probably why it's always fairly mild and lasts a few days. But I didn't expect him to have it more than once or maybe twice. So how often has anyone else had it?

I have only had it once. That was in 2022. It was not mild for me; nor was it severe.. Definitely moderate though, felt pretty bad for 3 weeks, and I have some lasting damage in my left ear.

That said, since then, I have traveled a few times and done okay but I continue to wear the 3M Aura N95 before I set foot in the airport, until I exit at the next location. Whether it works or not is anyone's guess, but on my last flight, the man directly behind me was clearly ill with a respiratory illness, to the point he was moaning after each croupy cough outburst. I ended up okay. Otherwise, those are the only precautions I take. I work in a crowded building and am with lots of people. I know my time is coming though!

I've had it twice about 1 1/2 years apart. Very mild didn't even know I had it the first time until DH got sick.
For me it felt like allergies.
DH has had it 3 times....that time (he felt like he had the flu), then again when I had it and one more time when I didn't. Those times were mild for him. We do travel a lot and he has no immune system, so we're doing pretty well.
We've now had 8 Covid shots

So how often has anyone else had it?
Once that was confirmed. I think I had it another time, also, but never had it confirmed.

Crowded airports/airplanes = I wear a mask from exiting my personal transportation at the airport until I'm in my hotel/residence after landing. I've also had all the vaccinations that have been recommended for me at this point, 7.

I'll just point out that vaccinations (of any type) don't necessarily mean you won't get the disease, only that, if you do, it's more likely you'll have a mild case.

Once that I know of. I was pretty sick before testing was available so I may have had it then. Dh only had once also, my daughter had it a few times and my son never had it.

Once. I didn’t realize I was due for a new booster and got it for a few days. Not too horrible but definitely unlike any other sickness I’ve had. The rest of my family was fine and has never had it (unless they potentially had it but still tested negative).

Four times...all unconfirmed... but the carrier/spreader had been in contact with confirmed... wife carried it to us 3 times but never succumbed...I want to think her blood medicine was her antibiotic and the medicine in my chemotherapy gave me mild symptoms

Just once. The whole family got it in 2022. Not unlike a case of the flu. We've all got our shots and haven't had it since.

I've never had it or if I did I was asymptomatic. DH has gotten it at least once a year despite being vaccinated. He didn't vaccinate this year and knock on wood he hasn't gotten it. I never isolated from him when he had it so it's weird I never got it.

I’ve had Covid twice. May 2022 and Feb 2023. Both times caught in Orlando! Both cases mild, like allergies or a mild cold. I am a regular receiver of vaccines and boosters - covid, flu, had RSV and pneumonia vaccines also.

Twice that I know of, I assume there were other times when I felt off. Honestly my husband was very sick with the flu a couple of months, the flu vaccine apparently did not help that much. Thank goodness for Tamiflu. I felt very lucky to dodge that bullet.

Zero.
I've had every vaccine/booster available and I'm O+ blood type which some researchers seem to think helps.

I wear a mask anytime I'm in a crowded situation, def on public transportation, airports, etc.

I'm currently sitting in a nursing home with a loved one and I know there have been cases here in the past couple of weeks. I'm masked and have hand sanitizer. Hope it's enough
