How many times have you had COVID?

Covid is weird. In my office, which is not a large space, I have one co-worker that has had it 4 times and another who has had it twice, and yet I never got it, even though I was in close proximity to these others.

Once for me - August 2022
Three times for my husband - May 2022, January 2023, August 2024.
We've had all but one boosters. He is asthmatic and is T2D so we think he's more susceptible.

Zero that I am aware of. I suppose I could have had an asymptomatic case without realizing it, since I never got sick and was never tested. I do still mask in large crowds and in places like grocery stores, drug stores, etc., where people are likely to go when they are sick (as much to prevent the flu as to prevent Covid).

2 times, once before vaccine available, once after. Got the vaccine as soon as it came out , and 1 booster but nothing since.
First time wasn’t the best but by no means the worst. Second time I hardly knew I had it.

Only once. I've had the vaccines so it wasn't too bad, but I struggled with post-Covid exhaustion for about 6 months afterwards. I got it on a cruise. (No flights on that trip.) Another friend was in a similar situation around the same time. Vaccinated, felt like a mild flu, but lost taste and smell for 6+ months.

I still mask when I fly. Even before Covid I always got sick when I flew. Now that I mask, I don't.

Once. Marie picked it up at a graduation party we went to and then I got it from her several days later. That was her second time. I've had 9 shots so far, will get number 10 in May. My only symptom was tiredness for 2 days.

DH just tested last night, and he tested positive for COVID. This is the Fourth time he's had COVID since it was "discovered" (2020). He flew back home on a long flight several days ago and he says the plane was crowded, the airport was crowded, and the airport lounge was crowded so no doubt he got it someplace on that trip. He's had all the shots, the boosters, most recently 5 months ago, which is probably why it's always fairly mild and lasts a few days. But I didn't expect him to have it more than once or maybe twice. So how often has anyone else had it?
Did he wear a mask on the flight? Once here, so far.

3 times. I took the shots and was diagnosed about 3 months later, mild case. The second time was bad, knocked me out for over a week, but at least was not hospitalized. Took the booster, and got it a third time that was even more mild than the first. Since I was lucky to be able to work from home my last 5 years of working, did not miss any work on the first or third cases. That second case I missed a full week.

I've had COVID once. Paxlovid made the recovery pretty easy.
I had it once, took Paxlovid and then had rebound Covid a couple days later. Glad it worked for you but it made it worse for me. Never again. One study I saw said about 20% get rebound Covid due to it.

My grandsons once, DDIL twice, DS never. And he was testing with the others.

Us, never that we know of.

Lucky so far... At my age and the fact that I have bronchial COPD and mild emphysema I consider myself very lucky. My immune system has always been strong and between that and all 6 of the covid vaccines it has not been a problem yet. Next bigger problem might just be bird flu. I'd hate to die from something called Bird Flu.

Zero. Odd thing is I'm old and have 2 autoimmune disorders where the medicine actually tamps down the immune system. DH same age, same shots, no Covid either.

Young family members have all had Covid with 3 of the shots. So odd,
Oh...and yes we were diligent mask wearers...especially on all planes and Disney trips when there were crowds around us.

All Covid shots...no other shots.

I had it 3 times 2 were official had the vaccine and booster cases were both very mild basically just tired
the unofficial was Jan of 2020 when covid wasnt a word here--
2nd to the last day at disney felt the throat was wierd not sore just a strange feeling but we got our last day in--coming home I though my head was going to pop the pressure was so bad and it seemed to take forever to land.
was knocked for about a week then my throat was really bad went to the clinic and it was strep so got treated for that but of course there was no covid testing or anything.
It lasted almost 2 weeks that first time but like I said that was the unofficial time

Havent had it now for a few years

Twice. First time was over Christmas 2023. The second time was a couple weeks ago. I have no clue where it came from either time.

I’ve had Covid 3 times that I know of and one of those times I also had pneumonia. No vaccines and no intentions of getting any.

I struggled with post-Covid exhaustion for about 6 months afterwards.
the exhaustion was horrific for both dh and I. the one time we had it we were both knocked for a loop with brain fog, body aches and severe exhaustion for over a week, intermittent bouts of post COVID exhaustion for 18 months following (out of the blue in the middle of a day it would hit). I am thankful that we both were aware enough to force ourselves and each other to get up, eat something and take in fluids b/c we easily could have slept non stop for days on end to a grim fate (we learned after the fact that a friend whose adult dd had a mild case thought when she started having symptoms she could 'just sleep it off' as she had done many times with minor viruses and the flu. her dd and dh did'nt realize how long she had been non-stop sleeping and going without hydration until about 3 days in and by that time irreversible damage had been done to her body contributing to her death:sad1:).
