How many threads are you subscribed to?

That's just it. If I didn't subscribe to every thread I ever post on, I'd never find them . I am even subscribed to some threads I never posted on, just because they had links in them that I thought I might want to refer back to.

And actually, I rarely need to go back and even look at more than just the first page of my list. But occasionally I do, and I'll even go back several years to things I posted long ago. I don't understand why people don't subscribe to threads and then complain when they can't find them. (I don't mean you, Papa Deuce.)


ETA: I do turn off e-mail notifications if a thread is getting a lot of posts.

What is funny is that for my first 2 years here I didn't even know how, or that the feature existed.

It's a very useful feature. I didn't realize that everyone didn't use it until everyone panicked and complained when the Search feature was turned off (unfortunately) a couple of years ago.

I still miss the old Search for keeping up with other friends and posters, though . I used it all the time for keeping up with my DIS buddies. But apparently part of the problem with the old Search was that everyone was using it to do searches on themselves because they were NOT using the Subscribed Threads feature.

710 - mine go back to 2002 when we were planning our Disneyland trip. My join date shows late 1999, but I don't have any threads from any earlier. I have all my email notifications turned off since I'm here several times a day anyways.

I do have to say that I normally hover somewhere between 110 and 120 PM's. But this week I got tired of always having to delete some to make room for others, so for the first time I just decided to delete all my PM's . I had some really old ones that I was keeping so I could remember people's kids' names and such.
