How Many Swimsuits

How many swimsuits would you pack for yourself on a summer 4 day cruise? To be clear, I'm not a big sunbather or swimmer, but I question whether one will be enough. Right? There's no way it would dry day to day I don't think....:confused3:

Two SEEMS like the right number, but please tell me if I'm wrong. I think we are doing resort days before and after, so the total number of trip days will be 6. I guess I suspect we would wear a suit for at least some amount of time each day we are on vacation.

I always pack two for any beach/cruise vacation - one to use and one to be drying so it can be used next. I HATE putting on a wet bathing suit!

I only own two, so I don't have much of a choice. It's worked on a 3 and a 4 night - it will have to do on a 7-night. :) I'm not really a sunbather, and limit my swim time as a rule (fair skin), so I'm sure I'll be ok.

One thing I have found that helps things dry faster is to lay the suit flat on a towel, then roll them up together, then step across the towel a time or two, then rotate the towel a quarter of the way and step across the towel, then hang the suit. The towel absorbs a LOT of the extra water, making it much easier for the suit to dry.

I only bring 1... I hang it to dry on the drying line in the shower and it dries pretty quickly.

I've always brought 2 for everyone, but in reality only the kids have ever used both. They are in the water FAR more than I am, and in the evenings when they swim, I wear regular clothes. So for kids, definately 2. For adults- one is probably fine.

I bring some of those plastic skirt/shorts hangers that clothes come on at the stores and hang their damp swimsuits in the shower stall. They dry pretty quickly, but if the kids swim twice in one day and have changed in between, it's nice to have an actually dry swimsuit.

We always bring two for the each person. One to dry and one to wear. For DD and I, I also always bring two cover ups each for when we are lounging around at the pool or eating. :beach:

another vote for 2 per person.

I don't think I've ever brought more than 2.

DW once brought 3 - because we were on a 14 PC cruise with a LOT of sea days and she intended to be up on deck reading in the sunshine - EVERY DAY :)

On one cruise she packed an older swimsuit and luckily used it the day before the cruise and as she was taking it off the inside lining disintegrated ... so it was off to a swimsuit store in Southern Florida as we were heading to the ship. Luckily these are as common down there as Starbucks is up here (ie Multiple choices in EVERY block)

DW usually takes two, but then she spends all day at the pool. I usually get by with one, as I don't spend much time in the pool. I may get in the hot tub for a bit, and at CC I may go snorkeling, but that is about it. When I get to the room, I rinse and wring it out, roll it up in a towel to get some of the extra water out, then hang it up. Usually dry by the next time.

If you have a veranda, bring some clothes pins & attach the swimsuits to the outside chairs. The breeze dries them super fast!

Usually 2 but we are doing a 7 day soon and I would like to have 3. I have noticed in pictures if we are in the same suits all the time it is hard to tell which island we are on. lol

I always bring 2 as well, so if one rips or is wet I have another. I also pack one in my carry on and one in my checked bag. It is hard to find a replacement for a swimsuit in a pinch so I like to be prepared.

I feel weird. I bring a bathing suit per day, lol. But if you're not a big swimmer or sunbather than I'd say go with 2 for the 4 days!

I packed 2 for a 4 day and wish I had one more. I was rooming with friends so the bathing suits never had enough time to dry because someone needed to shower.

I brought three for our 7-day cruise, but we're in the pool just about every day. And I like variety.

I would bring at least two -- you're probably fine with just that -- because personally, I'm always paranoid something could happen if I just brought one suit (tears? bear attack? spilled ink? lost flying overboard?). I'm sure they sell a few but I know I'm not a standard size, so that would be a nightmare.

We bring 2 per person. We were on the Dream in Dec. and it was the first time I noticed that they had 2 of the pull cord clothes line in the bathtub. It was enough to hang all four of our suits each night to dry. Might have been on the other ships and I probably used both before, but for some reason it stood out to me on this trip that they were their.

Exactly this. Wet bathing suits or damaged bathing suits are buzz kills for my vacations, so I pack multiples. Plus, they are small and light.

I would bring 2 for a 4 day. We just went on a 7 day and next time i will pack WAY lighter in general but MORE bathing suits. I will probably bring 3 or 4.
