Silly ? huh:rolleyes: I want to bring some Gatorade to add to our Brita Water Bottle. Does anyone have experience with adding drink mix and how much do you usually add?

We are almost there:Pinkbounc :bounce:

Know that you asked that, I feel really silly. I should have thought of that earlier. I can read the back of the can right, lol!!! Ok I have been on the computer too long today and feel like a complete dork right about now. Thanks for bringing me back to the real world Kerril!!!!

Actually, you DON'T want to put gatorade powder into your Brita unless you plan to take out the filter and use it as a regular water bottle. The filter will (try to) "filter" out the gatorade and get gunked up and no longer work to get out the yucky stuff.

This is true! My DS8 put soda in the Brita and then wondered why it tasted just like water! Boy do those filters work!!

LOL!!!!:teeth:

If you can stand carrying two bottles, you can carry one Brita and one ordinary water bottle, and squeeze a bottle of water through the Brita into the ordinary bottle. You can then use the contents of THAT bottle to mix with the Gatorade, and the taste will be optimized because the water will have been filtered. We do this sometimes and it's not an issue, b/c DH prefers water while I prefer sport drinks.

I didn't even think about the filter getting gummed up from the gatorade. I am bringing extra water bottles for the drive down. I will have to save one and make gatorade in that bottle. Thanks everyone. I am soooooooooooooo ready for vacation.
