I would not call it training, but I do walk 3-4 miles every day. Once I started doing that, I found my Disneyland days to be a little easier than before I was regularly walking.
I would guess so you don't get dehydrated. More of an issue in FL but for someone that drinks more affiliated beverages than non, it's a good idea to cut back when traveling anywhere hot or at least drink enough water to counter the caffine.
