How many rose petals???

I need freeze dried rose petals for my VR on DCL. I figure the aisle is no longer than 30', and dd can't throw that many rose petals! i want a few for the cake table, and then 20 petal cones. i honestly have no idea how much to get.

save on crafts has "preserved rose heads".....what are those? they have 12 for $18. i could get 2 dozen and that should be plenty, right? As long as they aren't silk.

Rose heads would be the entire rose still together, not separate petals like I think you want. I would check out this site for a huge number of colors to choose from:

They also have some photos to show how much coverage you would get from a cup of petals, two cups, etc. Hope that helps some!

Edit: You can purchase a sample pack (one cup) of petals (http://flyboynaturals.com/laropesa.html). Based on the photo, I think one cup would be more than enough for a petal cone. You can probably get away with less.

The rose heads are really cool, but they are more for doing arrangements, and not petal tossing.

Let me know if you want me to open mine and I could show you the amount! I think that 1 bag is a perfect amount for your dd. And 1 more for the table. But the cones ???

but i could pull the petals off the rose heads and it would work fine, right?

Flyboynaturals would give me like 60 cups! That just seems like so much!

Jen, I just got those preserved rose heads and they are very tiny!!
I do not recommend them for the petals..
