How Many Rides on Pirates of the Caribbean are Enough? Now Completed 11/4/10

So happy you enjoyed Kona....you've given me a couple of ideas to try when we go next! That creme brulee will be ordered for sure!:lmao: But I'm tossed between what you had and what your daughter had....maybe I can talk Jasmine into ordering the shrimp and I'll get the steak and we can share:rolleyes1

Miscellaneous pictures from the ferry:

I just wanted to comment on this and say that it reinforces what I feel about taking the ferries -- it really heightens your excitement as you slowly get closer and closer to that park!! The monorail is great, but there's just something about the ferry....:cloud9:
.

Perhaps because they don't have quite the same amount hoopla as the parks?

That has to be the reason. Every meal we have ever described as beyond expectations at Disney has been in a resort save one exception: Liberty Tree Tavern. It's always our first meal, and I think that has something to do with our feelings about it.

Goodness gracious! I was sooo behind. Let's see what I wanted to comment on (knowing I'll forget something).

Comment away!

So glad to see that Uncle Jeff received an award for his outstanding service for our country.

Thank you--he is really a special person!

The tour group story at Toy Story Mania made me madder than mad. That kind of stuff ticks me off to no end. If I have to stand in line the entire time, then so should tour groups. I agree with you about the guests during Gay Days. Never had a problem with them at all and, like you, wouldn't have even known the were part of the Gay Days celebration had they not been wearing the red shirts.

We have stated that we would go during Gay Days again BECAUSE of the people who were there for the celebrations. Honestly, my kids met some of the nicest and most diverse people ever.

All of Blizzard Beach pictures turned out great. We haven't gone to Blizzard Beach yet...only Typhoon Lagoon.

Try it sometime--it's our favorite waterpark.

I was happy to hear that the hat wasn't gone forever. Yea for finding it at Lost and Found.

Thanks! Lost and found is great!

The food at Kona sounds yummy. May just have to put that as one of our "must do" restaurants for our 2011 trip.

It is definitely a Disney "hidden gem."

That's a great plan! I like being able to sample from others, lol!

You are so right--it gets closer and closer, and the anticipation builds!

I'm all caught up! Love the BB pics, can't believe the nerve of the tour group (I mean a family is one thing, especially if it's not a huge difference in spot) but an entire tour group and am glad you had such a great Kona experience. We thought the food was amazing, probably my favorite meal of our trip last year but the service was meh. My DH had the same steak your DH had, yours sounds much better!

That was the most amazing steak ever. We really enjoyed Kona and want to try breakfast there, too.

Hope you enjoyed your trip--can't wait to hear about it!

With fuller than normal bellies, we walked down Main Street USA, towards. . .

My castle! My castle, all the kingdom for my castle! :rotfl2: As we are walking closer, we have a question--which direction do we go?

Do we hang an immediate right, and go under the not-so-futuristic People Mover to Tommorrowland?

Do we take a less immediate right to pass Cosmic Ray's, the teacups, and into the soon to be gone Toontown?

Do we go straight through the castle to Fantasyland?

Do we take the slight left to Liberty Square?

Or do we take a hard left into Adventureland?

Our course, set, we listen to the beating drums, and walk through to here. . .

Where a few boys thought it was oh, so funny to be sprayed by a camel. . .

And finally straight ahead to. . .I'm sure you've guessed it by now. . .

And if you are keeping up, it's been a long time since we've been in Magic Kingdom for too long. But we're at ride number 4.

With three more days to go. . .

another POTC ride!!! We tend to head in that direction when we go to MK too!!! If not there, we will go to Tomorrowland! We tend to not go back and forth as it will make anyone tired so if we got in the afternoon, we tend to save ADland for when it's dark because Jungle Cruise is wayyy better at night!!

I heart your castle as well..you know I lived there?! hehehe :) So of course I love it as well and miss it too!

You live in MY castle? When are you going to pay rent.

All. Caught. Up. :thumbsup2

Oh. And

Aw, thanks, Tink

I just realized I have 2 dis buddies I call Tink. I heart both of you!

I couldn't wait last year to take my niece on her first Pirates it was fun :)

It is the epitome of Disney to me.

How many rides on POTC are enough? The answer is always the same-1 more than I have currently taken. I can't get enough of this ride. This is our first year going to MNSSHP, and I can't wait to ride this ride dressed as pirates!!!
