How Many Rides on Pirates of the Caribbean are Enough? Now Completed 11/4/10

nice update!!!! I LOVE Teamboat Springs (you can fit the whole family in that puppy!)!!! My one roommate broke her finger on the ride though! We went one of our days off and we got into a raft that was deflated and her hand was on the side of the raft and when we hit the bottom, the raft edges folded in and whipped back quickly and her finger went snap with it!! She ended up having to go to PT and couldn't lifeguard for 2 months!

I didn't know that had that many PP CMs at the park! A cute pic for a time when you're there, my college roomie and I got a pic holding up the tubes in the wave pool and stuck our heads in the middle. It was a super cute pic and one of my favs from when I worked down there!

Ok I am def. springing for the PhotoPass CD next trip....Too many great opportunities out there! You guys ALL look great!:thumbsup2

Did you do the lazy river? I love that. Although the icy-cold water that drips on you, not so much.

OH, I cannot wait for the EoS update!!!! One of my all-time favorite places to eat at WDW....:cloud9: Yum.
.

:scared1:Great pictures....I love how they have PP's everywhere! I don't blame you for chickening out....I did the same thing....and I found the one we actually did was bad enough

DH ended up with a bruised backside over that thing, so I'm glad I chickened out, lol.

:scared1: About that finger. That is just horrible!

I was surprised about the number of PP photogs there--they were everywhere!

Great pics. What a fun day.

Thanks!

We did do the lazy river--spent half the morning on it before we saw Goofy!

The whole photopass thing is worth it when you go to the waterparks--you can't really take great pictures there, so it's the best option!

Blizzard Beach looks like fun, we've never been.

One of these days, we'll have to try out Typhoon Lagoon, that lazy river sounds relaxing!

The photopass was one of the best tips I learned here on the DIS. We have some amazing photos taken by the PP CM's on our trip last year. When DS met Mickey in the judges tent, the CM just kept on snapping photo's of the whole visit so we now have the "candids" as well as the group poses (and the candids are my favorite!)

Great update! So cool that they have PP at the waterparks because obviously people don't take their own cameras. Next time we go to Disney in the summer we are definitely going to try out at least one of the waterparks!

What fun! I am WAY too chicken for Summit Plummit! And afraid that my bathing suit would be wrapped around my neck when I got to the bottom. :rotfl2:

Love the PP pics!

It certainly is--but it can also be kind of scary, when the current takes you kids away and you can't see them.

We love photopass! It is really a good deal. $99 for all of those pictures? I can jam those disks up with pictures!

Well, you are the photopass queen!

LOL, that is too funny! Dan said that his swim trunks were in places he didn't know he had when he reached the bottom!

Especially since when ordering individual pics (if you don't get the CD) it's something like $14.95 for a 5x7!! $99 might sound like a lot (and it is) but if you can indeed "jam those disks up with pictures!" then you really get your money's worth!

Ah, the Mickey hat. In June 2009, Stinky was wearing a hat that never made it back from Endor. He was so sad I bought him this hat.

When he was riding Expedition Everest, he stuck the hat in the pocket so he wouldn't lose it. Then he left it there. :headache:

This was on Monday. We went to the lost and found at Expedition Everest, and it was already sent to the front. We went to the front five minutes after they had sent it to Central Lost and Found.

Our fear was that the hat was gone. It was sad, because he loved the hat. We bought him a Donald Duck hat, and chalked it down as a loss. On this day, after leaving Blizzard Beach and resting in the room, we decided to take a ride to Central Lost and Found to find out where the hat might be. We had dinner reservations at Kona Cafe, so we took the bust to Magic Kingdom and rode the monorail over to the Ticket and Transportation Center.

On the way from the Contemporary:

And then to Central Lost and Found, where the kennel is also:

I love this topiary:

We went in and described the hat, and where and when it was lost. The castmember went into the back and seemed to be gone forever. We were contemplating buying Stinky a new one, when miraculously, he brought the hat back to the front!

Hat back in our hands, we decided to walk over to the Poly, since we were right there.

Another favorite topiary:

And one of my favorite views. . .:cloud9:

A few minutes later, we were on the path to:

So. Kona Cafe. I've always heard good reviews. But what do we think?

And then, you just go to your local photo place to do the prints you want--$0.09 for a 4X6. We had over 300 PP pictures last trip.

I've had breakfast and dinner at Kona and both were great experiences! I wouldn't go out of my way to go there but for a decent meal it was very good!!! It to me almost didn't even seem like a WDW restaurant (not sure why?) but the steak for dinner was pretty good!

Dude........SERIOUSLY?!!? What the heck happened to Earl of Sandwich?!! You left us hanging with that one, now THIS!?!

And what UP with the cliff-hangers?! :rotfl2:

Did you do breakfast or dinner at Kona? We've done breakfast (NOtongatoast) and really liked it. Might consider lunch there but the dinner menu looked "meh."

The thing I like most about Kona cafe is that it is easy to get a reservation there.

LOL--I keep thinking "Okay, that's the day we went to EOS, only to look back at the pictures and realize, Oops, not that day. I think maybe it was Friday. I remember it was soon after we went to see Jeff, though.

And what UP with the cliff-hangers?! :rotfl2:

Lol--I love a good cliff hanger. :rotfl2:

We did dinner.

:woohoo: for actually getting the hat back! But boy did you have to chase it down! I'm excited to hear what you thought of Kona. We've never been there.

Can't wait to see what you thought of Kona Cafe:banana: When we went, I looked at the menu as we waited and both Jasmine and I thought....nothing here sounds good....boy were we wrong. It turned out to be one of our best meals the entire trip!
