Was curious as to the spread. Was thinking of buying more and wanted to see if I'm the only lunatic :-) (as if I don't know the answer to that)

It's been said here many times before, but once you start, it becomes an addiction and what you believed to be a purchase of 150-200 points to stay a week or two in a studio turns into many more points so you can stay weeks in 2 bedrooms or an occasional Grand Villa.

We went on a Disney cruise and at the DVC member mixer they had people raise their hands if they have added on and then asked in increasing numbers how many times. Well we were the winners (or suckers with the highest dues bill) with over 20+ contracts and I didn’t know the exact number. We didn’t get tell the DVC guide our names but a day later when we stopped by the booth he said he looked us up and that we actually have 26 contracts (they have a list with all the DVC cruisers onboard) Some are small 50 points but we have 2100 points and will add to the total when Disneyland tower goes on sale and poly if it’s part of poly1.

We started with 175 CCV for a week per year in 1BRs. After our first stay, we knew we needed more points, and bought 150 SSR to supplement. Now we’ve stayed at the Cabins multiple times, the treehouses, as well as at other rooms at SSR, CCV, and AKV. I think we’re ok for now.

Started with 160 resale (still our largest single contract) - now have just under 1400 - lots of resorts and contracts and UYs - and yet - I’ll gladly plunk down $$ for Poly2 to get 1Br and new DL DVC to stay every couple years…

Started with 200 at Riviera (2019) and realized we would eventually need another 75-100 for Thanksgiving. We added on 150 at OKW (because we actually love OKW) during the summer 2021 incentives. And now, with both kids back in all star cheer again, 350 is more than we need but it’s nice to have some extra. we get by with 1 bedrooms now but I’m pretty sure we’re going to be in 2 bedrooms in 2-3 years so those extra points will be helpful.

Bought 315 at VGF this past June and currently in ROFR for 150 at BWV. Add-on-itis hit quick, and we wanted a guarantee to be able to book at BWV for F&W.

Went through ROFR for our first contract (210, SSR) last year, added on direct and two more resales and now at 585. I think we're content for now, at least that what my wallet tells me!

+200 BRV 2008
+170 BRV 2010
+300 CCV 2018
-170 BRV 2019
+200 BWV 2020
+175 CCV 2021
+300 GFV2 2022
+200 RIV 2022
+125 RIV 2022

Just had a CCV rofr yesterday (submitted offer on a 150pt CCV contract, hopefully it passes ROFR)
Also on the hunt for more PVB points ~150-200 more

We have 50 direct that we bought about 10 years ago. Its enough for me to take the kids for 4 nights while hubs is deployed or borrow for a full week every other year. Since the kids are starting to lean towards Universal we split our week more often than not.

My husband and I argued (not really - disagreed) on the number of points to buy on our first contract. He wanted more, I wanted less. We compromised on 250.

We now own 1235. Yes, addonitis is real :goodvibes .

Once you realize what DVC can give you - villas with real living rooms, kitchens, and laundry vs a hotel room and the ability to escape the snow in PA winters. Yeah, we're hooked.

160 BLT resale
50 BLT resale
200 CCV resale
Waiting for Poly2 for more 150-200 for direct benefits.

500 here (150 BWV, 150 SSR, 200 VGF).
I think I’m done. This gives us enough flexibility to visit WDW and stay in studios for 2 weeks over Christmas and March break each year. Or move up to bigger accommodations for one week for each break.

Will revisit buying more when the Boardwalk points expire, and see how this fits into my retirement plans. (Sadly still 30 years away from retirement…)

I have 345 points, and that is just right for me.
