I am a curious person, it doesn't make me jealous or feel like people are bragging, but I want to know even more. What do you like to use your points for?

week stays, studio, weekends, 3br, I know dvc is flexible that's the joy but when you bought what did you intend to use it for? and when you bought more then what? and how many are you usually traveling with?

I am a 30something mom to 4, so when we travel it's 6 of us. It will be 2br always until we aren't traveling with everyone. We just did a school year vaca and I'd like to stay away from that for now. My 9th grader just can't miss that much.

So we are buying!!! FedEx guy is supposed to come tomorrow with my package to let my dh review (not the computer type-even though I told him he'd learn so much on the dis) We are starting with 158pts at SSR, this will allow us a 2br in "magic" season (i.e. Spring Break) or early summer every other year. Once in a while we might rent our points to cruise or stay m-r then do the 3n wonder.

When my Mother died in 1999 I decided to take my kids & gk's on a xmas cruise as xmas was a time when we all got together with my parents. We enjoyed the cruise so much that we bought into the club with the idea we would go on a family cruise every other year. Well, we have so much fun(there are 8 of us) that we decided to try to go every year, since I'm paying for everything, including flights it's a little difficult. We do have a 1,000 points and we sail on off season and everyone now uses usair credit cards so 2/3 of the flights are free. It will probably cost me 5,000 for the cruise, my wife retires next Oct and we plan to cruise several times a year, just us. Although in July we went to WLV for a week as we couldn't swing a cruise as we are scheduled for the Alaska Cruise next year. This is their inheritance I'm spending. I decided I'd like to enjoy it with them.

First, Welcome Home....you will LOVE it.

We bought 200 points early this year, then added an additional 120 in the summer when they offered a great add-on deal. So we have 320 points.

We did 5 nights in a 1BR Beach Club Villa in May
We did 5 nights in a 1BR Boardwalk Villa in September (and purchased a 6th night cash)
We did 2 nights at Hilton Head Island this past weekend (1 discounted cash, 1 points) without the kids (my sister flew in and watched the kids for 2 nights)

We have the 7 night Eastern Carribbean Cruise set for the 4 of us in January, then Boardwalk again for 5 nights in April.

We may do a Grand Villa in Old Key West (sleeps 12) either in the Summer of 2006 or 2007 to have a family reunion of my two sisters, myself, our parents and our kids. ( If we do 2006, I will borrow the points from 2007 use year)

We also want to do Hilton Head Island again next year without the kids again....it was a really nice getaway.

We bought into DVC because of the flexibility. So far, we love it!

As of today am proud to say we are new owners of 150 points. Currently, this will be enough points for 2 WDW trips per year. Once our boys get a little bigger we may add on for larger accomodations, right now, no plans to add on. If Contemporary becomes a DVC or if there is one in CA, we'll add on immediately at any price (don't tell Disney )

I just bought in at BWV 170 points. I'm thinking about an add on at SSR but you can do alot with 170 if you borrow.

Well we started with 270 at the BWV then added 30 for a grand total of 300 works well for us, best investment we have made for a vacation glad we joined back in 99 when prices where low

Although we have been staying on property since 1987, buying into DVC allows us to travel with new family members (sil,gd,) friends and extended family. I'm sure we'll continue to add on.
