How many people

Dream, I also loved your post. I hadn't thought about it before you said that but then got a big laugh out of the mental picture.

Me personally, I don't think about it and it doesn't bother me. I figure that people are too hung up on germs in most instances anyway. From what I have heard, most kids are getting more illnesses and allergies because we are "too clean" in our society. It isn't good for us to antibacterialize ourselves all the time. It kills the "good germs" too. So we live by the rule that "what won't kill you will make you stronger." I go barefoot all the time and so do my kids and my bigger worry is stepping on a bee outside. Also, even if your feet are getting germs from carpet, what is the harm. If you have no open sores on your feet, I would think that unless you are rubbing your feet with your hands all the time or licking your husbands toes, there isn't anything on your feet that can make you sick.

Sorry this got kind of long, holy cow.

You guys are talking about toes and barefeet! How long before jvas finds this thread?? ;)

I didn't use to until I saw that 20/20 episode! Now I always have something on my feet in a hotel room.

I'll never forget one stay at the Radisson Suite Resort on Sand Key Island in Clearwater Beach, Florida.

My boys (who were only 5 and 6 at the time) were running around barefoot, and I got a glimpse of their feet. It looked like they had been walking around in the street! The carpets didn't look dirty at all, but they evidently were filthy!

I made sure I included that in the guest survey they sent us.

Shouldn't be too long! ;) ::yes::

my biggest ewww is bathroom doorknobs in p8ublic placese,, i always wash up,, but surprisingly, even in hospitals wher ei spend lots of mytime,, you see most ppl flush and run,, which means it ended up on knob,, i like the levers,, i'll use my wrist or a piece of toweling, try not to touch them and i love the new non touch flush andwash things,,

By the time I get into a hotel room I'm really too tired to care. I walk around all summer barefoot at home. You should see my feet after a week or so of them hitting hot pavement and cement barefoot. No germs are getting in through my feet. So I really don't worry about it. There was one hotel where I refused to go barefoot, because it was very creepy, but any place in northern NH named the Seven Dwarfs Motel should concern most people anyway. So here's a warning. Don't ever stay there!!!! It's in Twin Mountain, NH. Going without shoes in a hotel room doesn't bother me at all.

Sometimes it bothers me and then sometimes it doesn't. We go to the beach alot and it is almost impossible to not go barefoot some. When we aren't at the beach I don't go barefoot at all.

I'm HEEEEEREE

Oh, that was you I saw.................:teeth:

:rotfl: :rotfl: LMAO! Licking you husband's feet :crazy2: ?! Pulley system with a gas mask :earseek: ?! You all are too funny!

Personally, I never thought too much about walking barefoot in a hotel. Normally, I wear socks, even at home, but I wouldn't think twice about going without them.

What exactly was the news report about the toenail? I have to know if it was reported by Stan the News Man or what ::yes:: .
