We had all of my side of the family over yesterday for lunch and a gift exchange for the kids. There were 18 of us. On Christmas Day we will only be seeing our son, daughter-in-law, and 3 granddaughters.

Animals are very sensitive to feelings from us humans. While they have no idea why Christmas is special to us they will undoubtedly pick this up from you since you are making the decision to be with them on the 25th. Cheers

As a fellow animal lover this is honestly one of the kindest things I've heard and I know you do it every year. On behalf of all the rescues I've had over the years, thank you for loving them until they find forever homes.

It really is an emotional roller coaster. I love it when they get adopted and are on their way to the forever home but at the same time I'm sad because I will miss them. It feels so selfish and I struggle with it because happiness for them is all I should feel but missing them hurts as well. I'm too dang emotional for this stuff!

@tinkerbellandpeterpan Also, thanks for taking in rescues very, very much. Without people like you many would never find a home of love and stability. It's an adoptees dream and you help make it come true.
