How Many People Do This?

Ive been reading a bunch of posts that say people meet other DISers down at WDW. Is there something I dont know about. Do you guys wear a secret symbol? How can i get one? I would like to meet other freaks besides my wife and myself who are crazy about WDW as much as we are. We go every year and stay at the Poly. Our next trip is in 12 days. Way to long to wait. Just thought Id ask

We travel to WDW every year and this year my sister came to WDW "DIS-Savvy". lol. I noticed she was had put a green Mickey head on her bag. When I asked her about it, she told me DIS'ers wear Lime Green Mickey Heads when they are in WDW. I then asked her what if people just liked green Mickey heads? She had an answer for that also. She told me there is a way to greet DIS'ers and this really had me haha. Apparently, when you are down in WDW and you see another person wearing a LGMH, you have take your index finger and middle finger and point to your eyes and then point to that person. If the person notices and does the exact same thing, then you have met a DIS'er. Lol. I guess all this is mentioned in the "Welcome" forum here on the DIS. lol.

I have met a few DIS'ers down in WDW, but those were all planned meets. You can also visit the DIS Meets forum here on the DIS to find out when a group of DIS'ers will be meeting

Lime green is the color of choice here on the DIS boards. So, get yourself to a Home Depot. Go to the paint dept and look in the Disney section. You'll see Mickey head paint samples. There are a couple of lime green ones..either will do. Then you can cut them out (or soak the card in water, the color sample will slip right off) and attach the paint chip to your bags with a nice lime green ribbon. The thing to remember is this...if you wear the lime green Mickey head, be prepared to be approached by strangers. I saw a lime green Mickey head, actually several of them, on a woman's backpack while in the line for Soarin'. I went up to here, said Hi and that I was a DISer also. She looked at me like I had 8 heads and just turned away!!!

I've run into a bunch of DISers in WDW....stopped to talk for a bit sometimes, other times just waved and kept moving..depended on the circumstances.

We saw a big group of people gather while we were waiting for the Illuminations Cruise a couple weeks ago and they were meeting for the first time. Many of them had LGMHs and some were wearing lime green hats, clothes, or bags. We almost went to say hi but the boat became ready for us before we had the chance. But I definitely agree, be ready to have strangers come up to you

OMG I just did that last Sat! My DH was looking at me like I had three heads and asked why I needed so many green samples. I said I was using them for my window. He said if I kept doing that they were going to charge me! LOL!

So I should take a few and glue them or tie them on things like backpacks and such??

Now I know I am in the DIS way of thinking....and I didn't even know it!

Ok, I'm a Team Focker Watcher, TFW, member here. The color of the LGMHPC is Alien Green. The "look" described by a pp is called: The Lime Look. It used to be called something else, but, we got ourselves into trouble.
