How many of you are hoping to purchase Lakeshore?

Same. We have more than enough points after buying some direct with the incentives last summer. If there is another great direct deal at some point I may add on, but I'm less interested in the resort anymore.
Pretty much my take too. I'm a resale/direct hybrid owner with my points split equally between both of my contracts. I'm interested in staying at LSL and checking it out, but mostly glad that I bought direct so that we have the option to stay at new resorts like this one. Doubtful I'll buy direct again unless there is a fairly awesome direct deal that rivals the VGF deal from a couple years ago!

LL not for me.

But if Coronado Springs had a DVC section - I would be in for that.
If you want to stay at CS, most of the year regular bookings (with various discounts) are less the the point value of "most" DVC rooms (except maybe Value over at AKV, Standard at BWV, and OKW). The only time they seem to really go up in price is when conferences are there, which is becoming less common (thanks, Zoom!). I just looked at a random mid-week date in July (with Passholder discount) - $277 for standard room, not in the tower. (In the last two years, I've found rooms here at under $200.). If I need a last minute extra day (to extend a DVC stay) and can't get a DVC room, this is where I go. More quiet than Pop or AllStars. Plus sangria at three bridges. The best gym anywhere on property. Toledos is great and on the dining plan. And a nice walking path. Downside, busses only.

I am interested.
Here are my hopes and expectations in order to make a purchase (in case Disney is listening).

Theme – Stick with nature, not too heavy on IP.

Types of villas/views – From Duo to 3BR Grand Villa, to cabins on the lakeshore (like CC). A real draw would be a club level, but would need more DVC club level rooms than AKV has. (Club level alone might get me to buy, lol)

Points chart – Villas similar to AKV chart in points per night and in levels – Value (Parking lot view), Resort (not parking lot view, but not a direct lake view), Preferred (Lake view), Club Level. New cabins on the lake similar points level to Copper Creek cabins.

Pools – One Main, one quiet. A good Lazy River is a must.

Community Hall – Large enough for the resort guests on a rainy day. Have activities for kids and adults.

Food options – At least one full size table service restaurant, one good indoor quick service, and one pool side bar/quick service. Adding a Geyser Point type place would be a plus.

Transportation – Expect dedicated Boat to MK, as well as boat loop with Lakeshore Lodge, Fort Wilderness, Contemporary, and Wilderness Lodge stops. Bus transportation may be shared with Wilderness Lodge but not with Fort Wilderness. I expect all vehicle traffic to be separated from Fort Wilderness traffic. The only exception might be an internal FW bus route stopping at Lakeshore Lodge and then going through the CFW loops.

Trust – Hit or miss, but I might be ok with it.

Dues – Around the Copper Creek level.

Expiration Date – Hoping for a full 50 year contract, but expecting a 2075 to match CFW.

And above all else, PRICE !!! Incentives must be right, with magical beginnings available.

A lot of your hopes have the opportunity to hit the right spot for owners - a good points chart would make up for the trust and the emotional unknowns folks may have.

Club Level is a real interesting question. I know owners would like it, but a lot of the TS model is built on minimal service, unlike a club lounge which is not.... But, I do think with vacations becoming more and more of a luxury, club level is a smart way to go if they can get the numbers to work for them... I have to imagine there's a reason why they didn't build RIV with a club level or PIT with a CL.... and I imagine a lot has to do with the recurring expenses of operation....

You should send this to dvc.
I like your ideas
not sure I’m sold on the trust though

I must be missing something about Club level? Isn’t this basically the same buffet that we ignore when we’re staying at Marriott or Hilton on business?

lol.
I literally always thought the same thing, but like you, figured I was missing something until I try it. (If I'm ever able to).

Most buyers will have no idea why the trust might matter. And, it's only that it might, not that it will. Lots of other developers have trust-based products, and they work more or less exactly the same as deeded.

For those of us who have been around long enough, back in the very early days, the timeshare community was very caught up in Deeded vs. Rirght-to-use. Usually, this was a distinction between US properties and those in Mexico and certain EU countries. Conventional wisdom was that deeded was superior to RTU for a variety of reasons, one of which was perpetual use.

Then, along came Disney, who created a deeded-leasehold RTU program! The early advertising collateral made a big deal out of the fact that it was "deeded", even though it didn't have one of the more important of the (claimed) benefits of deeded timeshares. I suspect this was intended to overcome the objection to RTU on the sales floor in the early days. But either that objection never really materialized, or over time it faded, because it's been years since it was a first-order marketing term for DVC.

Nope. All I want is 54 more points at AKV. Would give us 80 there and 70 at CCV in our Aug UY and would make it blue card. Then we also have 205 in our other UY at BWV. And that's good enough for us.

We love it but at AKV it isn't basic Hilton food because it has the African touches. And we like the free beer and wine considering that if we go right downstairs to Victoria Falls we will pay like $12-18 per drink.
We'd definitely consider any new DVC resort with club level. It's why we bought CCV but then they took that one away.
