WoodysRoundup....Honeymoon suite has a King bed, so I think it's only meant for 2. ;) Junior Suite, aka Deluxe room, is a nice way to travel with little ones!

You'll LOVE the GF with the little ones and the monorail!
And the Concierge deluxe room is very big...about 600 sq ft!:earseek:
:teeth:

MagicPrincess...being a type-A, OC, person, I like to make a couple of "key" PS's myself. Other than that, we just wing it, and let the CL CMs book our PS's as we want them during our stay.
They can usually get you into a restaurant when others can't get a PS.
Better to let them know the night before, if you have your heart set on something. There's always a CM behind one of those CL desks, ready to help! ::yes::

litlpixie...Welcome to the world of LOUNGE LIZARDS! LOL!:wave2: Call AKL concierge and have them change your Bomas PS's.

D&R love Disney...Congrats!!!!!ead79 said it all !!!! Let them take care of everything and have a wonderful honeymoon!
:sunny:

Majestic...those pictures of yours are just awesome!
Told my mother about the suite and she's so excited!
Said Dad will love it as he has always wanted to stay at WL
So, it's our secret from the guys!:earsgirl: :earsgirl:

I don't think that Disney could care less who is staying in the honeymoon suite. :)

As for the monorail, any time we needed it we either took a bus (not as often) to the Poly which is right down the street OR we took the boat (quite often!) to the Contemporary and jumped on there. It's not really that bad and remember, you are on vacation. Sit back and enjoy the boat rides. They are VERY relaxing for me.

More power to ya! Have a great time! :)

:) :) :) Thanks, FRED, for the WL Concierge floor info. Do you know if you can book a honeymoon suite at WL even if you're bringing little people along?

We usually have them book hard places to get. For the most part, we wing it. I personally have never had a problem getting into one of 3 choices a night. If you don't get your heart set on ONE place and give yourself options, you never get let down. Get it?

Also, it may be coincidental but I belive that the concierge cast members have better success at booking or getting you in. They also make great recommendations for places to go, do, and eat, when you need to ask.

Of course, I speak from experience for Wilderness Lodge Concierge. Never stayed anywhere else. This May we are doing the Polynesian Lagoon View Concierge so I get something to compare to. We "WILL" be visiting Whispering Canyon for lunch one day and I will be popping in to the concierge floor there to say hi to everyone. :)

Hey BambiTamby- (or anyone that can help!)

Did you have the Itinerary planners make many PS's for you? I only had them make a few- and I figured we would play the rest by ear. It's kinda tough not knowing what kind of schedule DD is going to be on next week!
Do you think that by staying concierge, it's easier to get a PS last minute??? I know that they can't work miracles- but don't they have a "little" more pull?

Thanks!:goodvibes

I enjoy having the concierge planners make those hard to get PS's for me. On different trips we were able to get Cindy's breakfast (thanks, Poly concierge staff!) and an Illuminations cruise (thanks, BWI concierge staff!). I did contact them just before the 90 day mark both times though. It's my understanding that they have a good bit of "pull" at their resort's own restaurants, so they could probably get you into 'Ohana at the last minute at Poly concierge for example.

I talked to a CM at CRO today and she told me the honeymoon suites at WL can only be booked for two. (FYI)

About concierge deluxe RPC, is there any reason I shouldn't request a room on the fourth floor (the floor with the lounge)?

BTW HOCKEYMOM, how is your DS on the ice with the Redwings?? Exciting! I always said (even before I had kids) if I had a son, I'd get him into hockey (if he wants to, of course). How early did yours start?

HI TO EVERYONE!!! Happy planning! And, CONGRATS AND BEST OF LUCK TO D&R!!!

Thanks! Kinda makes sense but at the same time, we were told by the concierge staff during our last stay that we could book it with our 3 year old. They even toured the suite for us.

Shrug....

Guess it all depends on who you talk to?

Yes, I was thinking of that, too, Fred!
I would see no problem with one small child, personally.

:D

Fred, now can I add another concierge room onto the Yosemite Suite?

Yeah there is a connecting room right off of the suite. You can actually see it in one of my suite pictures.

You go girl!

Yes, you can add a connecting concierge room to the Yosemite Suite.

Just an FYI, when I received my reservation confirmation in the mail it stated "guaranteed non-smoking". I like this! This is the first time I have seen this on a reservation.

Yes, it seems logical that you could book a honeymoon suite and put a child to bed on the couch (or daybed?) and fit a crib in the room too?? Hmmmm..if only I could figure out a way to smuggle them in...ha ha!!!

Bambi...you have me ALL confused. I can't keep track of all your trips, even though they are listed under your signature!! More power to ya!!!!!

OMG - I get to change our Christmas trip to GF RPC!!!!!!!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

I had been wanting to stay concierge sooooo bad but we have a million things going on in our lives right now so I didn't think I was going to get to for a while. Well when I got home from school today I had a letter and I got the scholarship I applied for at my first choice law school! It's a HUGE scholarship - it will be almost just the same as my salary teaching. So DH is insisting that I take part of the money we were saving for my tuition and upgrade my Christmas trip with my sister! I'm also going to take my best friend from college and my best friend from high school. I don't know what I'm more excited about - law school or GF concierge :p ! So - tell me everything I need to know about concierge! I'm dying to be a "Lounge Lizard!" I'm trying to convince DH to agree to one concierge trip for every dean's list semester.;) I guess I'm going to have to stop sleeping with my Disney books now and start sleeping with my text books - I think it'll be worth it!

I love these boards! I love Disney World! I love the Grand Floridian! I love life!

Oh - How do I change my counter?

:grouphug:

thanks ya'll!

LOL, Woody! It's hard to do, I usually have a file and a "pile"!:earseek:  :teeth:

Back on another page, you mentioned if the BWI and GF RPC was a definite thing.....the GF RPC has been paid, the WL YS has been paid..still haven't even put a deposit on BWI.

I was offered to do a HUGE show today, for my business, on the BWI dates, so we may just do the GF, and try the BWI for next year!

I'll know by the time we get back from this trip, if I'll be doing this.

But, hey! I'm female! I CAN change my mind!LOL!::yes::

What are your dates for the Yosemit Suite?:D

June 23rd-27th. Will be checking into Dolphin on the 17th.:sunny:
so, the YS would be a late Father's Day gift, but I know Dad and DH will LOVE it!
At least, that's what I've got planned now!:p

leighe....Congrats! Now, YOU go girl!!!!!:bounce:

LOL! Go to the Tech Board and they'll assist you!
My advice is to totally erase, then put in a fresh counter.

Welcome to the LIZARD LOUNGE!

thanks floridafam! :wave2:

This is GREAT because both of my parents have a problem with smoking rooms!
I'm so proud of DH! He's been "smoke-free" for two months!:bounce:

He's started running again...wants to do the marathon at WDW next January!
::yes::

WOoohooo! I quit smoking August 10th of 2002 and haven't had one since. Tell him it only gets better and to keep fighting!

CONGRATS, Leighe!!!! What GREAT news! Life IS wonderful, isn't it!! :Pinkbounc When are you going in Dec.? We'll be at RPC then too!! :bounce:

Now BAMBITAMBY....I have another question for you!! Do you go every three months EACH year? If so, you are what I strive to be!! I was thrilled when I got DH to agree to a trip every other year (b/c that's what my parents did for us since I was a kid). I think I have him "talked into" going every year now (if he can go on his big ski trip with his buddies each year)!! ;) I must know, was your DH always as much of a Disney-a-holic :teeth: as you are, or did he grow into it? I'm holding out hope that my DH will be a convert but he goes to WDW for me. I just don't think he'd love it all on his own!

:chat:

Oh, and one more thing.....Not only am I looking forward to your upcoming trip report, but am ALSO looking forward (obviously) to your RPC trip report!!!
