LOL, Debbie!
Now....THAT's the idea!!!!:teeth:

Gosh! I have too much to do this week!
And, just think, this time, next week, we'll be at WDW!!!!:earseek:

BAMBITAMBY...I am so jealous...less than a week for you?? Yippee! Can't wait to read your trip report - you ARE doing one, right? I'm laughing just thinking about it! BTW, thanks for California Dreamin's thread on GF Concierge rooms. Any idea who might have more info. on the difference in the two deluxe room types?

And Hockeymom, when do YOU leave??

I'm living vicariously through all of you...OMG, how will I ever make it to Dec.? :earseek:

BT, sounds PERFECT to me! We loved this option on our honeymoon. Splitting between a monorail resort and an Epcot resort really is ideal. Have a fantastic time and bring back LOTS of pictures. ::yes::

We leave the Tuesday after Easter, so I am living vicariously through other people, too!

I am worried about not booking the sunrise safari earlier. I think a phone call will be in order ASAP to make sure there is still a place for us! I am worried, since it is such a busy time of year!

Quick! Pack BT! Although, my method of packing 8 hours before we leave does seem to work, most of the time! I'll be glad to have the few extra days to pack this year, rather than come home from work, then finally find the suitcases!

I can't wait to read your trip report, Bambi! Please say hello to the Ankole family for me! *Uzima savannah, where the baby is!*

Debbie

Hey, Debbie!!

We'll be leaving right before you get there!:(

Sounds like you pack like I do - I have a friend who's only child is grown, and she lays her suitcase out about a month or two ahead and starts packing. Anytime she knows I'm going to WDW, she starts asking, weeks ahead, "are you started packing yet?" when she knows I wait 'til hours before!! For one thing, we are usually wearing the things we take with us, and I have to pull them off DD and wash!!:earseek:

BTW - I don't think it would kill WDW to provide the mugs in the concierge rooms, but c'est la vie. We like to buy the mugs for souvenirs, too.

Bambi - I'm sooooo jealous!!:teeth: We had plans to be there about the same time as you, but, no SW cheapo flights left!!

I'm officially doing the "single digit dance"!!!!:jumping1:

I can't believe I'll be at the Disney in 9 days!!!
I'm getting so excited!!!
WL CL- here we come!!!

Oh that is too bad, K&a&c! Our vacation is skewed by a few days this year, due to not jumping on tickets when I should have. The ninth through the sevententh should be our usual Easter trip. I am sorry we're going to miss each other!

Magicprincess>> Congrats! From everything I have read, you're going to have a great time!

Happy Monday! DS is going to be on the ice with the Redwings tonight!
Debbie

Good morning to all!

Doing the single digit dance with MagicPrincess !!!!

k&a&c'smom...if it wasn't for our Rapid Reward/Companion Passes, we couldn't have been going either! About $600 each person, each way for us, by the time I started putting this trip together!) :earseek:
And, I had to even book the "freebies" early as they go early, too! I was even suprised that SWA didn't "black out" the Spring Break dates for freebies! ::yes::

WoodysRoundup....of course, I WILL bring back priceless information...and some pics!
As for the GF RPC conc deluxe room...remember how hard is was to OBTAIN that room with a discount? ie....Keep IT!

LOL! This is like the "pot calling the kettle black" on this one, as I'm always reading and thinking.."Wow! I need to stay there, too!":hyper:

Debbie/hockeymom.....we'll be on the look out for "baby and her family"! :wave2:

Well...here's another BT update.....I officially have ADDED the Yosemite Suite to our June trip!
Fred's pictures overtook my senses!!!

I will be watching to add a concierge room, hopefully with an AP rate, as an add-on to the YS, for the rest of our party!:sunny:
The June trip is the one that I take other kids and other family members.
Thought my father would like a really neat Father's Day present, hence the WL ! He and mom haven't stayed there, so this will be a real treat for them!

Ya'll have a wonderful DISney day!

Morning all. Just wanted to say hi and congrats to those leaving soon!

Fred

Good morning all!!! Yippee!....It's actually SUNNY :sunny: in Chicago today!!!!

BambiTamby...I had a momentary lapse in judgement  I WILL keep that RPC room!

BTW...Have been looking all over and can't find the WL FAQ thread. What's my deal? (I'm looking for info. on concierge there for a future trip....you know, for my notebook)!! :hyper

SO excited for all of you who are leaving soon...wish I was you!!!

Fred....MAJESTIC has some awesome photos of WL, too!

Click on his sig link!

teeeheee....methinks someone will be adding another resort to their December trip!;)

BambiTamby, I'd LOVE to add WL to the Dec. trip but want to make the most of our time with tots (and feel the monorail will whisk us to and fro the quickest)! Ever since a walk through WL last visit, I've been longing to stay there!!! Hmm....maybe a Disney cruise and WL stay in 2005?????? Will have to run that one by DH! :earseek: Oh, the longings change everyday!!!!

Are you "set" on your decision of RPC deluxe and BWI garden suite for Sept.?

DOES ANYONE KNOW if you can get the queen bed/bunk bed option in a concierge floor room at WL? Do the rooms seem bigger with that setup vs. 2 queens???

I was almost afraid to open this thread and read about all the wonderful concierge stories. I'm another who got the bug by being upgraded to concierge at the WL. It was great! I don't do concierge every trip but when I do it's worth it. We stayed at BWI in a Garden Suite when we got engaged. This is my favorite room that I've stayed in! I'm going back there 2 weeks from today for my wedding.

OK That's it....I want to be a Lounge Lizard too, so I just upgraded my pool-view at AKL to concierge. OH, woops, I forgot to tell my DH, hmmmmm, well he'll be be surprised. Can't wait to try CL for the 1st time ever!! You all seem to love it and seem pretty hooked. It's 30 days away, should I call them to change my Boma PS to one of the days that I'm there(right now I have PS's for the night before we check in)Have I confused all of you yet? Sorry.

D&R, how exciting--only 2 weeks left until your big day! Have a fantastic wedding. Just try to relax, Disney really does do a fabulous job with their weddings. They will take care of everything, so just sit back and enjoy your day. Congrats!

The rooms are pretty much the same size a a regular room on the concierge floor. I am "pretty sure" there are a few rooms with bunks but am not positive. You can ask itinerary planning that question. Sorry.

I can say this though, the honeymoon suites are really nice and from what I am told, they are not that much more expensive over a normal concierge room. They offer a king size bed, reaised ceilings, and a jacuzzi tub. You may want to look into that?

Hope this helps.

Fred

Hey BambiTamby- (or anyone that can help!)

Did you have the Itinerary planners make many PS's for you? I only had them make a few- and I figured we would play the rest by ear. It's kinda tough not knowing what kind of schedule DD is going to be on next week!
Do you think that by staying concierge, it's easier to get a PS last minute??? I know that they can't work miracles- but don't they have a "little" more pull?

Thanks!:goodvibes

:) :) :) Thanks, FRED, for the WL Concierge floor info. Do you know if you can book a honeymoon suite at WL even if you're bringing little people along?

Gosh, I REALLY wish WL was a monorail resort. Sounds like SUCH a great place. It took a lot to convince DH to go on this trip and he stipulated that he only wanted a monorail resort with our kids this young. Believe me, I'm not complaining. I know GF will be wonderful, I'm just so excited about WL next time...when the kiddies are that much older. :) :) :)
