I totally agree with you on this one. My h is a builder, and works 90-100 hours a week. He bends over backwards for his homeowners, and then has to put up with their tempers.

A hearty AMEN to that! Savor every morsel you can! Do you know, my h thinks getting a massage is a waste of money?!?! He would rather suffer in pain with muscle knots and headaches, than pay $40 for a good pounding. I say, go for the gusto!

dreamflight99- Thank you for the kind words of sympathy about the loss of my mom.
She was a HUGE Donald Duck fan and collected as many items with him on it as possible. On our trip next month I'm hoping to find something nice with him on it to sit out at her grave.

This will be our first stay at the Poly LVC and I am REALLY looking forward to it. Not even there yet and so far it doesn't seem like a "waste of money" to me.

I read an interesting rumor about upcoming discounts, so I had to rush over here to share it with my fellow lounge lizards!

Now keep in mind, this is just a rumor, nothing more, and I have no idea how reliable the source is. I read it on a different message board, but I must admit they are usually pretty up to speed on rumors. Now, here's the deal...

It is rumored that another package similar to last year's Fairytale Package will be released early in May. According to the rumor, it will be either a pay for 4 and get 7 or pay for 4 and get 6 nights type of deal. The rumored availability dates are May through Nov. 11.

Let's keep our fingers crossed, as that is an excellent deal!

Update on DD>> She didn't make the top three, but boy was she in great company! Those teenagers did fantastic! It was five schools worth, and they ran everything for the talent show. The talent... WOW! They were fantastic! My guess would be DD would have been in the top five, but who knows. The fact is, I was highly impressed, very well entertained, and I think our future will be great in their hands!

To everyone on this thread>> THank you for the stories, the over abundance of kleenux in the garbage can, and for making me smile each and every day! I know there are "other" threads circulating which are trying to make fun of the concierge experience and paying extra for it. I think if they took the time to read all of the posts they'd realize what a wonderful eclectic group we have here, and that we value family and ideas more than anything else. The fact some of us scrimp (or the lucky who don't have to) on certain things to totally relax while on vacation is our choice. What they are also missing is the fantastic people you tend to meet up in the lounges! Somehow, and maybe I am wrong, but it seems you see more smiles up on CL than at the foodcourt! Are foodcourts bad? NO WAY! You need to eat somewhere and sometimes that is just the ticket and just enough to get you through the night!

ACK! Giant rant... sorry! I hope this all makes sense!

I left the usual goodies out on the sideboard. Help yourself!

Elizabeth-thanks for the rumor but I too was hoping to do AP's to "justify" this trip-buy an AP for Nov this year and go as we have planned Oct or early Nov next. It would be great if AP's through Nov were released! I don't see that happening...

Debbie-I know I should just stay away from those dark places but I just can't resist voicing my opinion.

Majestic~Hello, Fred! Meeting place sounds GREAT!

blowinbubbles~One of our FAVS...the Portofino Bay Hotel in US/IOA area. We are looking forward to using our new annual passes, and relaxing for another 6 days there this summer! Our suite comprises the three balconies across the top of the bldg. (from the covered arches, to the two on the right). It's a beautiful "butler" suite, with pantry access/kitchen.

It's very comfy!
There are some different ones (suites) in the back by the upper gardens, but the VIEW is not there! I LOVE the view.

Wondering again......I emailed Poly concierge several days ago but haven't heard back from them. Does anyone know if they're still having trouble with their email? I was considering giving them a call but didn't want to seem like a pest

steveanddonna-I think just about everyone has something they spend money on. A very good friend of mine(Disney fan even) today was shocked that I am thinking of a trip this year for 7 or 8 nights and that I would actually consider playing mini-golf-something my DD is dying to do. She thinks Disney is too expensive for kids and why would I waste money spent on park admission to do something other than the parks and which costs even more money. BUT she thinks nothing of spending $200+ to go to a concert and will even spend that money twice to see the same performer on both Friday & Saturday nights. I don't get that but its her money and thats what she likes to do. I too stayed away from the poo and bed bugs threads.

Just so you know, it is a known fact that Hotmail has been having some problems this week and has delayed emails in some cases up to 6 to 8 hours. Not sure if you use them or not just making a public service announcement.

Fred - thanks for the PSA!! I use Hotmail and had been wondering why some of my newsletters were taking awhile to get to me.

Well, lizards, I switched my summer res. to a week earlier, and was able to snag WL CL at AAA rate!! Also, BWI CL at AAA rate!! So now, even if I don't catch the AP rate for one of them, I still have a discount! Now, I need someone to advise me on what room requests to make?!

Hi everyone! DD is doing a little better, she has had some drops and she's resting.
DF--How about this one "Elitist, seen clad in only a robe and slippers in the CL lounge carrying an AS mug she bought on Ebay followed by the twenty cheerleaders she snuck into her room, they then headed to BB, hence the 20 # of poo filtered that day..."
The suite pictures are beautiful. DS wants to know if you would be interested in adopting him. He is willing to take out the trash and clean the litter box. The downside is that he is 12, so he now knows more than any adult alive, so he can be difficult to live with sometimes
I really should be cooking dinner. I dropped in on the other thread. It is pretty tame so far, the trolls haven't flamed yet.
