How many miles on your car? What make/model?

2010 Prius has 73,000 miles on it.
2004 Subaru Outback bought new 232,000 miles.

Now that the car is paid for, I'm wondering how long we can make it last. We get regular oil changes and do all the scheduled stuff.

Hi! We do as well. We have a 1997 Pontiac Bonneville going strong with 195,000 miles on it and no plans to retire it! Our other car is a 1993 Pontiac Bonneville with 200,000 on it!

New 2012 Subaru Outback-85 miles( obviously VERY new)
2011 Ford Focus-300 miles
1994 Ford Taurus-almost 300,000 miles ( my husband's company car before he retired; company signed title over to him at retirement.). And they say American cars don't last..
We will probably donate the Taurus to a veteran's organization.

2010 Honda Civic with 12K miles
2002 Toyota Sienna with 115K miles

Both paid for...hoping to get a few more years out of the Sienna. We had a 2002 Honda Civic that died last year at 113K miles...that was such a shock. Transmission blew and all scheduled maintenance had been done on it. We only put 3K miles on the Sienna a year, so maybe it'll go awhile longer.

I drive the same car I bought when I lived up north 6 years ago... An 02 Dodge Neon, which has 141,000 miles on it.... It hasn't had many issues, most problems I have are with the dealer and getting them fixed :rotfl: The car itself has been great. It's been paid off for 2 years, and plan on driving it til it dies! Just had the transmission checked out and seems to be just fine.... My husband hates driving it cause it's a stick shift, lol, so it's just mine :)

2002 Honda Accord V6-180,000 miles and still going strong! I love my car!

I have to say I am quite shocked to see older Fords on here. Our Ford's engine completely blew at around 120K miles. It had a bunch of other problems so we didn't bother fixing it. I will never buy another Ford.

My old Acura got over 180K miles before I traded it in. It still ran fine but that was back in the days when I thought that was normal (to trade in an old car even if it was running fine.)

Unfortunately, our Saturn 1996 has come to the end of it's life. It still runs but currently needs more work than it is worth to get it back up to speed. We already don't take the kids in it for safety reasons. It just doesn't have the same safety features that we feel comfortable with. DH has been using it to commute to the train station each day, but it is time to let it go. The tires need replacing, the a/c isn't working, it is making all sorts of weird noises, the door locks and windows don't work, and there are a few other issues going on with it.

97 Chevrolet Cavalier- 4 cylinder, original motor and tranny. 248,000 miles and still going. Routine maintainance- CHANGE YOUR OIL REGULARLY:cheer2:.

I have a 2000 Plymouth Neon with 245,000 miles on it.

I know it's on it's last leg as I have to fill it with oil now every other gas station fill up (and no, it's not leaking). But I'm dreading a car payment, I can't remember when I had one last, so here's hoping for 300K!

1992 Volvo 940 gl turbo wagon 120,000 I hope this car will take me for at least 3 more years.
2009 Scion 19,000 bought new hope my dh likes it cause he's going to have it for a long time

2000 Dodge Grand Caravan 69,000 miles - we've had this van for 4 years and haven't had an issue yet.
1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse 115,000 miles - this is DH's "toy"... he has it souped up with the lamborghini doors that go straight up and all that fun turbo stuff.

Before these cars, I had a 1996 Saturn for 10 years... I still see it driving around town. I love Saturn. I also had a 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse non-turbo that I bought off of Ebay sight unseen. It came from Tennessee... lime green and all, never had an issue with this car although we stored it in the winter. We bought it with 34,000 miles on it and owned it for 6 years.. we sold it with 64,000 miles on it in order to buy the house we live in now.

I'll be sure to tell my mother about this! She has a '93 Bonneville that she bought barely used (about 12K miles on it) and she loves it still. She's been kicking around getting another car, but her's is a youngster compared to your's. I don't think she has but 100K miles on it. :rotfl:

The next time you get your oil changed, try Mobil 1 full synthetic. My 2004 Yukon XL Denali will burn oil using conventional oil but doesn't burn a drop using synthetic going 10K miles between oil changes.

2004 Yukon XL Denali pushing 145K miles. LOVE this vehicle and hope to have it a long time.
2008 Chevy HHR SS with around 70K miles.

2004 Chevy Cavalier 121K

I just made my last car payment on Friday and I'm hoping my car will last me a couple more years. I've never had any serious problems with it *knock on wood* My boyfriend is a mechanic so that also helps :)

2002 Saturn SL-240,000 miles on it-less than $500 of unscheduled repairs in 8 years.

2008 Saturn Vue-41,000-no issues at all.

GM lost a customer when Saturn was eliminated.

I've got you beat.

2002 Saturn SL - 280,000 miles on it! Still running just fine. Hoping to get another year out of it.

Our oldest is a one-owner '98 Chevy Cavalier with 154,XXX miles on it...

2002 Chevrolet Suburban with 295,000 miles. Bought new in 2001 and still going strong.

2008 Jeep Liberty with 65,000 miles on it, purchased new.

1977 Jeep Wrangler with 175,000 miles. Fun for short jaunts but wouldn't want to take a long road trip in the thing!

Have a Honda Civic 2008 (bought in Nov of 2007) and it has 54,000 on it. I drive a lot for work (about 50 miles each day) and we go to WDW at least 3 times a year from Miami (about 250 miles each way).

WOW!! My mom has a 2001 Saturn SL2 that used to me mine (I bought it from an older gentleman who would only take it to the grocery store and his domino games on Saturdays). When I bought it in 2006 it had 22k on it, my mom only drives to the doctor and grocery store and as of yesterday when I drove it, it only had 51k miles on it. I'm so excited to tell her that she'll be driving that car for the rest of her life! lol

She keeps eyeing my car and asking when I'll be handing it down to her, haha, she's going to be so disappointed that her car is going to last forever!
