How many miles on your car? What make/model?

OP here. This is the exact car we have, and others on this thread have posted good things about it too (or expeditions/explorers which are just larger versions of the same vehicle.) It has 94,000 miles on it and we have had no problems. I almost wonder if you either got a lemon or have a bad garage!
We go to a Ford dealership for our repairs. This year was our brakes. Last year was a broken tie rod (hubby couldn't get out of snow) We bought it used but it had a clean bill of health. It must be our luck lol! We still have two years to pay on it and then we probably will trade it in for a newer one.

2 cars a subaru legacy ,1996 with around 50k miles- and a mercury villager minivan with about 145,000k on it- I love my minivan- it gets great mileage and holds 7 people! we don't do car payments,so these cars will last till the disintegrate into the ground....actually,they run fine...

2004 Cadillac SRX, 72,000 miles, Will have had it 6 years the end of this month.

2006 Hummer H3, 49,000 miles (still on warrenty for another 1,000 miles), Will have had it 4 years the end of March.

Both are paid off and no plans to replace either. I have the oil changed every 10,000 - 12,000 miles with Mobil 1 synthetic.

1996 Mercedes 240,000 bought new and still looks new== purrs along
2007 Honda Odyssey - 40,000 and a workhorse

2000 Chevy Venture - 111,000 miles.

The only repair (other than routine maintenance) has been something in the transmission. It cost us $1000 about two years ago. I love no payments and will drive this car into the ground and pay cash for our next one!!!

Dh drives a 2009 Malibu. It's a work car. So far he loves it!!

Our longest lasting car in a 1999 Honda Civic. Bought new, been paid off for years, now has 177,000 km or about 110,000 miles on it. Plan to be driving it for a few more years.

1999 Buick Century- 115,000 miles on it. It runs great but with all the salt on our roads up here, its all rusting underneath pretty bad. We got it new so its just been in our family.

2003 Volvo wagon 125,000 miles - very disappointing car - many expensive repairs. We bought planning on getting at least 250k miles. Now we are praying we get another year out of it.

2006 Toyota Corolla, 35,000 miles -awesome car - the second one we've owned, repair costs very low

1997 4-Runner 145,000 miles, bought it new in January of 97. I use this for my business and put about 15K miles a year on it. Runs like a top and is great in the all this snow we've had lately in NJ. Long paid for...and will drive it until the wheels fall off.

2003 Highlander 33,000 miles on it. Still looks and feels new. It's barely been driven since June of 2004. In the last couple of years we've been putting about one to two thousand miles on it per year. Paid cash for this one....and will have it for many years to come.

Not having car payments is a huge step in the right direction towards building wealth for most Americans. We have our "next car fund" all ready to go, but won't get another one until the 4-Runner kicks the bucket.

2004 Chevy Avalanche- best truck ever! 130,000 miles- just routine stuff done, but the panel did go out and we need to replace that. However, we needed tires worse, so just got those ($650).

2000 Honda Civic- bought with cash last feb with I think 150,000 miles on it. We had it totally redone- well, no new engine, but basically everything else. It now has I think 170,000 on it. DH drives about 80 miles a day to work so it's his work car. He hates it b/c it's loud and small- he's a truck man. But, we have no car payments either, so it works for us.
I am hoping to get a van in about a year. Starting this month to save for it and plan to buy a used one with cash. I never thought we'd go without car payments, but now I never want to have one again!

2004 Toyota Sienna AWD- 65K, ordered factory direct. great van!

2000 Toyota Camary- 130K, bought new

Only normal maintenance for both.

Best thing ever: NO CAR PAYMENTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2003 Jaguar S type with 95,000 miles. Bought with cash! Love no car payments!

2007 Jeep Patriot with about 56K
2004 Ford F150 with about 65K
1993 Ford Mustang with ??? it's DH's play car and rarely ever comes out of the garage

My old 1989 Mercury Topaz had over 200K on it when we sold it for $800 back in 2000 or 2001 and it's still on the road :goodvibes I see it around town once in awhile and the greatest part is that the new owner still hasn't even taken the temp parking stickers from my college (which are paper with double stick tape) off of the window so I really know it's my old car :rotfl:

I had a 1994 Hyundai Elantra, it died with around 50K on it.

I also had a 2000 Pontiac Sunfire which had a little over 100K on it when I sold it in 2007, it was only replaced because I wanted something with four wheel drive

2005 Mazda Tribute - the odometer just turned 57,000 this morning as I was driving to work

2006 Ford Focus - Not sure; DH drives this car

We have two Bonneville SSE's... the 1993 has 189,000 and the 1997 has 160,000! :thumbsup2

Both have the original engine and transmission and have had regular service completed (like the oil changed every 3,000 miles, new brakes, ect...).

We plan on driving them until they fall apart! :goodvibes

1998 Honda Civic, 176k. Nothing fancy, just oil, tires, and the required maint, like the timing belt around 100k. Gonna drive that little puddle jumper till the wheels fall off.

We have a 1992 Soutwhind motorhome with 48,000 miles on it. It's paid for, needs brake work and oil changes, then we're going to sell it. No slides, 30 ft long, had it since 2001.

1994 Chevy Suburban. GREAT car! We replaced the air conditioning in 2004 and the intake manifold same year. Everything else is original. Bought used in 1997. She's been all over the country, various climates, even in a huge accident in 1999, $7500 in damage, yet still runs fantastic. 240,000 miles.

2007 Chevy Cobalt 55,000 miles, but I drive A LOT for work. Easy, no frills, cheap, great little car, good gas mileage, no major repairs. We traded in a 2004 Chevy Avalanche for this when gas prices were over $4 a gallon. That was a great vehicle, but we wanted economy, we're too frugal to spend the extra on car insurance, OnStar, XM radio, then gas too!

When/IF the Suburban goes, we'll replace her with something like another Suburban. We played with cost per mile figures and it is still cheaper to drive her than buy something else. I think our liability only car insurance if $15 a month.

2003 Honda Accord 105,000 miles. My primary car for to/from work and whenever we go out anywhere as it is roomier than SO's. Most of the miles are highway from a previous job with a lengthy commute.

1996 Nissan 240SX 102,000 miles. SO drives to/from work. Most of the miles are from a long time ago. If he puts 10 miles on that a week now I would be surprised.

Hoping to not need to replace either for a while to come. Although when/if we decide to get rid of the 240 I know we will have no problems selling it. Multiple people have approached us in parking lots, pizza delivery boys, etc asking if we wanted to sell it. It is one of those cars that people like to "supe up" (we don't have it like that!).
