2003 Ford Escape 102,000 miles and still love it!

A 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix GT with 269,000 miles. Purchased used in '99 with 47,000 miles on it. Hope she last at least one more year (knock on wood).

2006 Jetta with 28K miles. purchased it used in 2007 with 14K miles and 2 years left until it's paid off...i figure at this rate i might be driving it for the rest of my life.

2004 Toyota Sienna, approx 81,000 miles, no problems whatsoever. DH has a 1995 Dodge Neon with about 160,000 miles.

Now that the car is paid for, I'm wondering how long we can make it last. We get regular oil changes and do all the scheduled stuff.

What kind of car? My experience has been if it is a domestic car, it will die before 75K miles. All my foreign cars have been SO MUCH more dependable.

2008 Honda Fit (bout in Jan 08, I travel for work) 51,000 miles
DW has a 2010 Corolla bought last june with 3,500 miles, obviously she does not travel so much for work.

2004 Honda Civic. Purchased new in 2004. Paid off. 148,000 miles.

On a side note, prior to this Civic I had a new one in 1996. Passed it to my godson in 2004. He is still driving it. It has 267,000 miles on it! That has been a well used, well loved car.

I have a 93 Jeep Liberty with almost 172,000 miles. I drive round trip 64 miles per day, 5 days per week. I plan to keep this for 2 more years when it will go to the 16 year old and I will get a replacement. Plan to pay with cash.

Good car. Hasn't given me any trouble.
No repair bills other than normal maintenance.

2002 Grand Prix 94,000 miles. It's been a great car with no major repairs. I plan to drive for a long time to come!

My 10 year old Windstar had 125,000 and lots of repairs (traded in cash for clunkers as it needed yet another pricey repair)
DH's 11 year old Olds Eighty Eight had 198,000 and hardly any repairs (sold it for $400!).
My co-worker has 2 Jettas with close to 300,000 mi on each one, they are diesel.
I guess it just depends on the car. I like to get as many miles as possible because I hate spending all that $!!!

This thread disputes that. Lots of American cars with more than 100,000 miles on them.

69 Ford Mustang- no clue, this is DH's toy and it is currently garaged for winter. He blew off our first date to go buy that car!

2003 Honda CRV with 70,000 miles and going strong. DH thinks this will be our almost 9 year old's first car! LOL!

1995 Honda Odyssey with over 170,000 miles that we are actually trading in tomorrow towards a Honda Pilot.

Aside from DH's Mustang we're a Honda family, they last forever, are wonderfully reliable and perform well in a crash

'97 Ford Explorer. Hit 149,000 miles on Wednesday. We got it (used with just under 120,000 miles on it) in 2004 and, thus far, it has not needed excessive repairs. We are HOPING to replace it in the next few months though
