We have a 2003 Acura MDX with about 40,000 miles on it. Before that I drove our 1996 Isuzu Oasis minivan - it was made by Honda, it's just re-branded. My dh is quite frugal & he drives that van now - it has over 140k on it. Never have had to have anything except tires, brakes, etc. done to it except for the little lever that adjusts the A/C-heat temp broke off. It has a luggage rack on the top that is starting to peel, but other than that it looks pretty good. In fact, now that I am finally allowed to drive again, it is going to be my car once again because it doesn't have a center console & that gives me more room to remove my leg brace for driving. It also sits lower than my MDX, so it is easier to get in & out of. I love the Acura though - most comfortable & quiet car we have ever owned.
DD has a 1996 Mazda 626 with about 95k miles. It has had to have some work, but the exterior still looks great. She'll drive that at least until she graduates from high school - unless she decides to pay for a new one on her own.
My dad has a 1998 Honda CRV with lots of miles - he has never had any problems with it & loves it. He & my mom tow it behind their RV, so it has had a busy life.
