How many memory cards do you pack??

Ialways take several cards they are crazy prices at Disney i feel bad when i see people buying them at their prices,. I always take 2 cameras as i have had a camera go bad glad had backup.:cool1::cool1:

Best Buy has a 4gb SD Extreme II on sale for $19.99 right now... I got one for $19 on ebay, but it was a SD Extreme III... Sale price through tomorrow!

Hi, :wave2:
I take way to many photographs everytime I go to WDW, or so I am told. I don't understand, to many pictures! :confused3

Being an avid photographer, for me I think that it is safer to take several memory cards with you for safety. Suppose one doesn't work properly or gets full to quick. The format of the photographs, or short videos will fill a card quickly and if you are like me and don't have a laptop computer to download them everyday, this is just the best way for me to take my photographs and keep them safe until I can get them downloaded properly. But my biggest nightmare would be loosing a memory card that is full of "memories". :scared: This would be a major upset for me. So for me I take several (I purchase them when they are on sale and have quite a few of them) and I don't use the same card each day and leave the ones that I have used in our room so I don't misplace them in my camera bag, or they get lost in the parks. :sad2:

I know this sounds a bit much, but once you have lost a full memory card you learn real quick. :thumbsup2 Not something I want to do again.

:rotfl2: just kidding, hey take 100 memory cards, whatever makes you happy........I know when enough is enough though, Cooper is 12 now and he and my hubby start to have the same fake, stupid grin after awhile, thats when I know its time to put the camera down and step away!:rotfl:

I take two memory cards- and TONS of batteries. My Flip and my Digital Camera both take AA batteries, so I STOCK WAY UP before I go.

I am so ignorant of the differences with the memory cards. What is the best brand of 1gb cards, we have a Kodak digital C330, in your experience? I take lots of pics, but not so many as OP on here, and figured I would bring 3 extra cards. :confused3

However, any input you have would be greatly appreciated!

Well, I went and bought a 1gb and two 2 gb cards. now I just need to get an extra battery and charger I guess. I really hate spending the money on an extra charger, but guess I will have to

I plan to video a few things here (like the kids meeting characters or bits of parades) and there in addition i set my digital camera for a higher quality & larger picture. I have a 2 gig chip in my camera plus 3 more in a small chip carrying case. Best to have an extra one on hand, and some places have them for reasonable costs that you can get them before leaving for your trip.

Im a picture freak ;) I take my 2 8G cards and 2 4G. My camera has a charger and an extra battery and I take the charged battery along with the charger to the parks, I charge the battery (if need it) while eating in a restaurant, we always pick a table near a plug. Same with the video camera, since we only have one battery for the camcorder.

After reading on another post about taking multiple memory cards (which I never thought of doing) I was curious as to how many do you take and what size?? I have a sony cybershot that I am taking this trip since it's smaller than my normal digital camera. I am going to buy an extra battery so one will be fully charged at all times.
But today I was going to order a 16gb memory card since it holds 5,085 pictures. Now I'm not certain I should do that?? Buying multiple cards would be more. So how many do you pack?

I have a sony cybershot as well and got a great deal on a 4g memory card. I paid 17 dollars with free shipping. I don't have the website off hand but if you're interested, PM me and I'll check my email for the site. Oh, and I just bought it about two weeks ago so the price should still be valid.

two digital cameras
10 days
bringing:
laptop
4G flash drive
4G SD card
2 - 256 mb SD cards
1 - 128 mb SD card
1 extra battery (fits both cameras)
2 battery chargers

Other members of our party will also have digital cameras with their own SD cards.

We will download the pics to the laptop every night or morning and then wipe the memory cards. Everyone's pics will end up in one file on the computer.

Hopefully, every other day or so, I'll be able to copy the pics from the computer to the flashdrive. I suppose I could copy the pics to a second flashdrive for anyone who wants their own.

:hippie:

I took 2 8's and a 16 MB on my most recent trip and almost filled them up, but, I am a picture junky...mainly of my kids. I did take a beach session and some other shots too that used a lot of space.

great tip. I am learning so much reading these boards. Cant wait till our trip in Sept.

I am bringing 1 1GB and 2 2GB cards, so 5GB total. Last year I brought just 2 2GB and it was perfect, but I brought the extra one just in case as I tend to take a lot of pictures.
