How many hours do you work in a week on average?

40 per week at my day job. Anywhere from 0 to 50 on my side gig, probably averages out to 10 or so hours per week. This weekend I'm going to a tournament in Illinois, so I'll be working probably 9 hours Saturday and another 6 on Sunday. In October I go to the World Championships, that is 3 days of 15 hours and probably 4 on the last day.

What sport for the WC if you don't mind me asking?

Retired too. Not sure how I ever found time to work.
That's exactly what DH says also. Yet before he retired, he worked an average of 60 hours a week, and his pay was exempt. When asked what it meant, he always said "exempt" from being paid overtime. And the 60 hours doesn't count the middle of the night or middle of eating dinner phone calls because something or someone went wrong in the plant, a vital piece of equipment went down, etc. The joys of being a plant manager whose company heads keep cutting manpower.

Yes, I worked in an exempt position for 16 years. You are hired to do a special job. You got paid the same if you could do that job in one minute, or if you needed 16 hours or more. Here in California, some companies have gotten away from exempt positions because the state now says an exempt employee has to be paid at least $64,480 a year and very few of those exempt jobs pay that much. I also, briefly (9 months) worked a job with specific assignments, and if I was given additional assignments they paid an additional $150 a day in compensation, they called it Premium Pay.

A little over 40 hours

Main job - 35 hours
Second job - one day - 7 hours

Where in Illinois?
I used to be a coach for my DD20’s travel team and we played a lot in Illinois - especially in Peoria at Louisville Slugger.

I went down to part time a few years ago. I work 3-4 8 hours shifts a week Sometimes more sometimes less depending on where in my rotation it is. I could
pick up more if I wanted but rarely do. So 28-32 hours on average but it changes. This week I am working 6 shifts.

I work 40 hours a week. There are times I liked to stay a little later to finish what I am working on or come in a little early to get a jump on something. But as an hourly worker I clock in at 8am and clock out at 5pm with an hour lunch from noon to 1pm.

I'm scheduled to work 27.5 hours a week (Special Ed. Teaching Assistant, paid hourly). I usually end up staying 15-30 minutes after dismissal to get my station and the classroom organized for the next day, and debriefing with my teacher. We're always having to adjust schedules, seating charts, etc. to best suit the needs of our students, especially at the beginning of the school year when we're still getting to know the kids. I don't really mind since it's impossible to get out of the parking lot at pick-up time. If I left exactly on time, I'd end up sitting in my hot car until the traffic cleared.

Me? Retired, no work. My wife? Self employed insurance agency owner, 5:30 AM to 5:00 PM weekdays are not unusual. Her three employees work a 40 hour week. She uses the early hours before 9 AM to respond to the prior days e-mails.

I'm salaried at 40 hours, overtime is not allowed. I almost always work less than 40 hours, but not by much. I may leave between 15-30 min early each day, but that's because I'm efficient at documentation (medical field).
