How many Hoosiers out there?

After seeing the threads about Michigan and Ohio residents, I thought I'd start a thread for us Indiana residents! We live less than an hour north of Indy in a small farming community. We will be taking a family trip to WDW in October, with DH and I POSSIBLY taking an anniversary trip in December!

SO....where are you all from and when will you be heading down to the world???

There was a whole thread on the Community Board for Hoosiers, one of the posters (that does amazing pictures with sound Dan Murphy) is heading to the Indy area first weekend in Sept I believe, and they are arranging a Dis Meet!!

Hi there,

I'm a Hoosier, too! Born in California but have been in Indiana for 35.5 years. I live in NW Indiana (La Porte) and we are about 45 miles east of Chicago, IL. I work in Valparaiso.

We just returned from our first Disney trip almost two weeks ago and are planning to take our nieces down for a suprise in June 2006. Trying to figure out where we can stay....(I'd love the Swan or Dolphin) or Staybridge Suites.

We live just on the other side of Indy in a smallish town called Brownsburg. We spent Christmas 2004 at the world and im hoping to squeeze in an october short trip this year....just waiting on the discount codes

I are about i hour west of indy. We'll be heading down to the world in 6 days!!! I'm so excited. we are also talking about me and dh takeing a honeymoon cruise next summer!

Well technically my wife and I are not Hoosiers but she grew up near Evansville and we are both Purdue Alums who make it back to campus regularly in the fall so I guess we are in the Hoosier at heart category

Northeast Indiana here!
Our next trip is Oct 29 - Nov 6 with all my family. There will be 14 of us all together - 8 adults and 6 kids ranging in age from 10 months to 10 years!

Well, hey..its nice to see you guys around! Thanks eeyore45 for that link. I won't be able to attend the meet in Indy on Sept. 3 because DH and I are spending some much needed time together! Maybe next year...if its a yearly thing. I live in Tipton, so if anyone lives close it would be great to meet you sometime. I saw a red Blazer or something of the sort in Carmel one day several weeks ago totally emblazoned with WDW stuff...antennae topper, stickers, stuffed animals, license plate, you name it! If that was you, say hi!
I hope to see more Indiana people respond...can't wait for my trip coming up...hopefully DH and I can make it back down in Dec. for a quick anniversary trip!

I'm from Fort Wayne. My adult DD (who is now transplanted in NC, but an IU grad) and I will be in WDW from 9/24 - 10/1. Just a girls only getaway. I can't wait. I don't get to see her often so I'm really looking forward to spending a whole week together, especially in a place that we both love.

My mil is moving to Indy in 2 weeks!! My parents live on a lake near Angola IN, and I am a Ball State Alumni, hoping to get my boys there!!

I cant make the meet either, unless dh changes his mind!! He wants to help his mom pack that weekend!!

South Side of Indy is home now. Grew up in the eastern part on Indiana (Connersville). I have been to quite a few states and I love Indiana.
Our 1st family trip is Oct 15-22nd. Kids don't know yet but they will in a few days!!!!! I can't wait!

I am from Huntington Indiana but have been in Illinois for the last 14 years if you count college. My parents and sister still live there. I still feel like Indiana is home. Illinois is okay. We will be in Orlando the first week in Oct. my family and my extended family. 9 of us all together.
