We rented ONCE. It was our first ever trip as a family. Our dd was 21 months old. She is now 20. Anyway..we flew in from N.C. and rented a car. We drove it to the Dixie Landing's Resort (Now POR) and never drove it again until we drove to the airport. We have driven twice from MD (one of those times was LAST SUMMER) and once from N.C. and once or twice from AL. Other than that...we have always hired a car service. So this will be our FIRST Magical Express experience.
Just got back from wdw. We got off plane and went straight to magic express where , instead of waiting in line we were told our bus was loading. once we were on it was only a couple minutes until we left and we only dropped off at one other resort before ours.. The trip back wasn't quite as efficient....but that was more because other passengers pack their paperwork away....or cant find it at all. One family...gma, mom and young son....didn't have their paperwork and the driver wound up going in to the resort with them to get their info. Then they
wanted a wheelchair waiting at the gate for them. The driver asked their flight number, which of course they didn't know, then told them to tell him when they found it and he would call ahead to the airport. They told him their flight number.....as they were getting off the bus. . We sat at the first terminal waiting while our driver went and got them a wheelchair. That family got exceptional service, but the rest of us were left waiting on them. We were there in plenty of time.
We have always used it. I love not having to worry about driving/parking while on vacation. It may add some extra time to the commute because of having to wait for a bus or stop at other resorts but for me the convenience is worth it.
