Six. One pair of gold 50th ears from DL (the kind they sold), as well as the gold ones they gave everyone for free on the actual 50th birthday. A Christmas pair with snowflakes painted on the ears, two Halloween pairs (one pumpkin and one candy corn) I got buy one get one free at the Disney Outlet store, and a pair of leopard print headband ears I found at Goodwill. I will probably pick up some kind of 60th pair on my next trip to DL.
The funny thing is that I hardly ever wear ears because they look ridiculous on me. My head/face isn't shaped right or something, I dunno. I just know that they seem to look cute on everyone else but not me. Which is a bummer because I love Mickey ears.
I personally own three: The regular mouse ears, my bride ears, and the graduation ears they gave me when I graduated with my Mousters. Oh wait I forgot another pair that I have that were a special set given out for the 50th celebration of Disneyland. I chose 3 but just realized it's four. If I added in my husband's ears, it would be 5.
I said zero. No interest in the traditional ears. My kids do have the sorcerer Mickey hat with ears, and a Santa hat with ears. DD once had a Minnie headband with ears, but it broke along ago.
A little worn, and dusty. You can't see it, but on the top is the little staple that held the little pink foam "bow" (for the "girl" ears) back in the day. It's long since disintegrated. And you can see that the plastic ears (deformed as they are) are not the current method of just round circular black plastic, but more oval shaped and broad on the bottom where they attach to the cap part.
Partner and I each have a pair of Mickey Ears. Headband style, not beanie. They're from the Animal Kingdom. Mine are zebra striped and hers are cougar spotted. Fitting, since she's two years older than me.
Ordinarily, I'd agree with Gumbo and never even consider getting a pair of Mickey Ears. Partner and I were just trying them on as a gag with no intention of buying. But the cute young woman CM skillfully complimented me, flattered me, and manipulated me in such a way I couldn't say no.
