Hi German, looking forward to meeting you and all the other DISers on the ship. Joining me will be DH, DD12, and DS9. My sister and her DH and DD18months will also be there. They have some friends from Connecticut meeting us there. They have a DD19months also. My sister, DeeB, and I cruised on the Wonder in Nov '01 and couldnt' wait to go again. We both are really looking forward to an entire week of pampering and relaxation. My husband and I are already talking about booking again for Jan '03 (15th anniversary) without kids. I think that we are more excited about the cruise this time since we know that we are going to have a great time!!!

I am so excited I cant even think straight.

When my documents came today I realized we got early dining which we had been waitlisted for. That is such a huge relief for me with the lil ones. Who else has early and who has late?

Definately I would love to meet some Disers and bet my little kiddos would too :)

Me, 33
Dh, 47
dd 12
dd 10
dd 7
dd 5
dd 10 1/2 months.
mother in law 70+
father in law 60+

What did you all book for excursions? We had booked some with DCL but cancelled and booked some private ones that We can take the lil one on. We did book banana boat for Castaway Key and I want to do some spa stuff (maybe depending on whether the baby cooperates and likes to hang with her grandparents or not).

Tick tock,

grlzmom

Counting me and my GF we alredy now 20 people going on this cruise (1% of the ship :) )

We have the late dinning rotation, as you can guess we didn't have any problems getting it. We are just 1 hour ahead of US Eastern Time zone but we usually have dinner about 9-10pm in our country.

We don't have much budget for excursions so we are planning to enjoy the cruise and the beaches nearby the ports (I read about a beach at St.Maarten at Great Bay, don't know yet about St.Thomas).

What we would like to do is the Surial Bath at the Spa. I heard all good things about it ;).

We went on the Magic back in '99 and we are dreaming about this cruise since then.

I'm so excited and all the posts I read everyday shows me I'm not alone!

I'm not on your cruise but was just browsing through this thread and saw grlz mom's list of family members. 5 Girls! Wow, more power to ya! I only have 2 kids and it's tough sometimes. How do you do it?

Hi German,

We'll be cruising with you and the other DISers also. It's our "annual family get together" vacation which consists of me, dh, and our 3 boys (14, 11 and 7). We'll be with my brother, his wife and my niece, as well as my and my brother's, Mom.

We all did the 4 day land/3 day sea on the Magic in May of 1999. We enjoyed the cruise so much that we all said we should do a 7-day cruise if they ever offered one. 3 days just wasn't enough time to enjoy the ship!! I just picked up our docs from the TA today. I can't wait!!!

As far as shore excursions, we booked the Golden Eagle Catamaran in St. Maarten, the 5 Star St. John in St. Thomas and dh and the two oldest boys will be doing the Banana Boat in Castaway Cay. Youngest is too young (you have to be 8) to go on the Banana Boat so I opted to stay ashore and we'd take pictures of dh and his brothers.

We're booked for the late seating. We had early seating for our May '99 cruise but found it extremely hard to get myself, dh and 3 boys ready for dinner at 6pm!! It was so hard to get them away from the pools/activities to get ready. I figure there is plenty of food to snack on. They definitely won't go hungry!!:)

See you all on the 18th!!

Lisa

We will be there!!!

Me and my DH and DS3 will be there. We are traveling with my DH's mom, and his sister and her DH and her DS4 and DD 2; DH's brother and his DD2; DH's brother and his wife and DS6. My first cruise and I am excited! Also, 4 months pregnant. Anyone have any suggestions for cruise preparation? I am speaking with my Dr. about motion sickness med.

Let them know you are pregnant... as long as you are before your 24th week. As I was reading the cruise docs it said more than one time about noone over 24 weeks sailing.

We are flying down a few days early to do disney, anyone else?

DBUB You can get the sea band motion sickness bracelets from walmart for 8 dollars. We are bringing a bunch in case. Are you in Ohio? We are near Dayton.

Sonya Francisco five girls is a breeze right now (no teenagers yet)

grlzmom

I will be 20 weeks when we cruise.
I do have the seabands already, had a lot of morning sickness (or all-day sickness as i call it) , nothing seemed to help. So I'll definitely bring those along.

Yes grlzmom, we are from Akron area in Ohio. Except for one DH's brothers, he lives in Florida.

Hi everyone!
Can you believe we are down to 3 weeks? Okay, DBUB, I recently had a baby (well, she's 9 months now) and I had the severe morning (all day) sickness for all 9 months. For this reason I think I will be prone to seasickness :( What is the best remedy and where do I get it? I guess I should start packing! Oh, shore excursions: Under 2 Flags tour (St. Maarten), Atlantis Submarine voyage (St. Thomas) and snorkeling/bicycling in Castaway Cay.

So, are we going to plan a DIS meet or what?

Looking forward to meeting you all,
Bonnie

P.S. Hi TootyJane! :)

Hi everyone,

We are going too. It will be myself, DH, DD 10y & DD 5y. We are so excited to be within a month of sailing. We are driving down the day prior from Alabama & will be staying at the Radisson. Anyone else staying there too?
We would also like to see a dis meet happen.

See you all soon,
Lisa :D

Hi German!!

Can't wait to get on the ship and meet all the DISer's. We're actually heading to Orlando a week early to take in WDW and Universal. I've never been on a 2-week vacation before, let alone a cruise, but we're so looking forward to it.

We have the 2nd seating, which is great with us since we don't have any children to worry about. We wanted to make sure we have plenty of time to do things during the day without rushing off to dinner. Hope we have you as tablemates!!

As for excursions, we signed up to take a DCL excursion to see the other side of St. Maarten, right at this moment I'm forgetting what it's called. We're going to explore everything else on our own.

See as how we're leaving early, my trip countdown says we only have 15 days to go, and I need to start packing!!

See you all on the Magic!!
Brenda (and Damon, too)

Hi Brenda!

I thought only big parties where allowed on board =) (Just kidding)
I was amazed with the fact that most of the post are from DISers with big parties travelling together, It sounds like a lot of fun!! =)

Anyway, I know that there's something from everyone and that we are going to have a blast too! Hope to see you at Lumiere's the first night! It will be really funny if we end up in the same table!

We are also going for a two week vacation but first we are heading to Hawai'i. I must pack and be ready for the wedding!! I'm going craaaazzy :jester:

See you all at the Ocean!!

German
