How many different supermarkets do you shop at regularly?

so one of my regular supermarkets recently changed ownership and I'm rethinking my shopping patterns since the new owners (major chain) have a different product range. Of course to get the best deals I could easily go to 3 supermarkets per week but I always viewed that as not worth my time. How many do you go to each week (I view weekly shop as necessary as certain fruit and vegetables have to be bought that often)? At what point is it too many just to make the savings?

Seven (Kroger, Food Lion, Martin's, a local store, Target, Trader Joe's, and Walmart) plus Costco. Wegman's is coming soon so then it will be eight plus Costco. I also occasionally go to Whole Foods and Fresh Market. I'm very fortunate to have a lot of grocery stores very close to my house. It can be a pain but it keeps costs down and we are pretty particular.

Two. I have an Aldi's near my work so I go there first and then hit the Ingles near my house on the way home.

3.
Publix, Winn Dixie and the Walmart Fresh Market by my house
I do the bulk of shopping at Publix or WD, depending on who has the best sales for what I need. They are almost across the street from each other (one block apart, on opposite sides of the street), so if I do need to hit both, it's really easy. The WFM is right up from my house, and is convenient if I need something for dinner, or milk. I ran out of salt the other day (I had a box of coarse salt sitting on the counter. DS used his snow cone maker, and didn't clean it up right away, so the leftover ice melted...all over the counter. The box is now above the sink, being used for cleaning my cast iron, but I needed salt to cook with...so DH stopped at the WFM and grabbed some.

Three. All of them are within 10 minutes of my house.

I never shop for more than 2 days at a time. I pick which store I go to based on what I'm buying and where else I need to go.

One. Sometimes two if I want something particular from a specialty grocery.

I hate grocery shopping and grocery stores. The volume of food kind of grosses me out and I find them taxing from a sensory perspective.

My goal is to visit as few of them as possible. I will shop what's on sale where I can but not by going to multiple places.

One. I drive past a Winn-Dixie and a Super Walmart to get to "my" Publix. They're all within a couple miles of my house, all within a half-mile of each other along the same highway, but I prefer Publix. If I happen to be at Target and I need canned goods or cereal or baking items, I'll pick them up there. I go to Sam's every couple of months to buy peanut butter and chicken. I usually go to Publix twice a week for fresh meat, fruits and veggies, and bread. I keep up with what their BOGO items are and stock up.

One chain but they have a number of stores in my area, Kroger. My honey likes to go to one near our house (near to us is 15 miles down the road), I like to go to one in town, sometimes I'll go to one near my office if I just need something to keep here for breakfast or lunch and there is another one in a shopping district not near us but around a lot of other places we shop at (home depot, lowes and pet smart). About once every 6 months I'll run down to the Publix near my office to buy supplies for the office.

Hmm... I go to Martins, Kroger, BJ's, Wegman's, and occasionally Wal-Mart. I much prefer Wegman's and would go there every week but it's 45 minutes away. I don't go to every store every week, though, and I only shop every two weeks since we buy our meat from a farm and get veggies from a co-op.

Where I shop depends on where I am at the time I need something from the grocery. I tend to bundle errands. I frequent a Kroger (closest to home), and three Harris Teeters (one on the way home from work). I don't do "weekly grocery shopping". I generally shop 3-4 times a week. About once a month I go to Sams Club for paper goods and a few other things.

I shop once a week at Aldi and Woodmans. They are just under 10 min from my house and across the street from each other.
I stop at Walmart probably once a month, and Costco maybe once every 6 weeks.
If I forget something on my weekly list, I try to make do without it. If I can't, I might stop at the Copps store up the road from our house, but only for one or two items.

Two regularly (Aldi and Kroger) and then I will go elsewhere as needed if there is an awesome sale or an item I need one of the other two don't carry (like coconut aminos).

Depends upon what I am shopping for. Could be Kroger, Trader Joes, Whole Foods, Central Market, Walmart, Sams or Sun Fresh. If I want fresh Italian foods, then I go to Jimmy's. All here in the Dallas area.

6: Aldi's, Kroger, Sprouts, Fresh Market, Whole Foods, Target

Soon to add Trader Joe's to the list.

Not so regularly: Costco
