Hi, we (2 adults & 2 kids 6-4 years old) will travell to Orlando next summer for 2 weeks (end of june, first in july). We have 7-days tickets with water & fun option (NO hopper). We want to spend 3 days at MK, 1 at MGM, 1 at AK and we are not sure if we should do Epcot for 1 or 2 days. If we do just 1 day at Epcot which park should we spend our last day AK, MGM or MK. What would you choose? It is our first trip to WDW.

Regards,

We usually spend 2 days at Epcot. We think there is too much to see and do for 1 day only. Usually we do Futureworld 1 day and World Showcase another. Or we do Animal Kingdom a half day and then go back to Epcot in the evening. Have you considered adding park hopper? I definitely recommend it. Especially with young kids. It gives you so much more flexibility.

It depends on a lot of factors. We do Epcot two days, one spent mainly at the attractions and the other eating our way through World Showcase and doing some of those fun exhibits and just explore one or two of the future world side. I would spend my final day at MK to get the castle and a magical parade in on the last day personally but like I said, it depends on a lot of factors. I personally avoid parks with EMH so if it was at MK that day I would do MGM and see Fantasmic the night before we left in my oppinion.

Hi there...we went last year and I believe we spent 2 days at Epcot. The World showcase can take a while to get through. I think that you could probably do it all in one day, but we spent 2 weeks there, so we just did 2 days at Epcot because we could. :teeth:

Do you think that my kids will enjoy World Showcase? I barely remember about it (18 years ago)

well, when we went my DS was 3 and my DD was 15 months old. I don't really think that they understood it. My DS did like getting the mask thing with the charm things attached. Neither of them understood the concept of "different countries." They did enjoy seeing the characters!!

We also always spend 2 days at Epcot. 2 days at MK and one for the others

I did EPCOT last year with a family of 4 similar to yours. The kids LOVED doing the worldshowcase. Their mom is a bit anti thrill ride so in future world we skipped testtrack (but we did go on mission space).

EPCOT is huge...if you try and do it in one day you'll be exhausted and you wont see it all.

With the ages of your kids I'd probably make a plan more along the lines of 2 days at MK, 2 days at EPCOT, 1 day at AK. Then decide what you want to do with the last 2 days on the fly.

We like two days at Epcot because that is where our favorite restaurants are. If you decide to upgrade to the hopper you could spend the morning at MGM and then the afternoon/evening at Epcot.

When we do 7 days at the parks, it's usually 2-3 days at MK, 2 days at Epcot, 1-2 days at MGM and 1 day at AK. Epcot is definitely worth a 2 day visit. My kids like going to the Kidcot stations throughout the world showcase and making the masks and getting their passports stamped, and that can chew through a lot of time. If it was totally up to me, we'd do 3 days at either MK or Epcot before we did 2 days at MGM.

I would schedule 2 days for Epcot. There is just so much to see and do. Since you have small children, don't forget to do the Kidcot stops. The last time we were there, they passed out masks that the kids got to decorate in each country. My kids loved it. Some countries even have something extra at the stops. In Japan they made the kids little origami animals. Most of the countries have little shows. Check your guide map for the times. My son was thrilled with the Japanese drummers. The acrobats in China were a huge hit, as were the living statues in France.

Also, if you want to check out the WS cuisine, I would recommend the following for small children:

Morrocco: They let the kids dance with the belly dancer. My daughter, who is usually shy in public, went right out and danced in front of everyone. The food is good too. Shish kabob type things and rice.

Japan: They put on quite a show when they cook your meal at your table.

Germany: The Biergarten restaurant has fun musicians--a rollicking good time.

Mexico: If your kids aren't afraid of the dark or the volcano, it's very nice.

(France and Italy are good, but seem to be better suited for a nice romantic adult meal.)

Future World has a ton of stuff to do. Don't forget to check out Imagination and the pavilion that deals with the body (what is it called? temprorary brain freeze--sorry). They have a lot of hands-on activities for the children. We practically have to drag our kids out.

Also, they have water fountains that the kids love to play in. The next time we go I will finally remember to pack their swimming suits when we go to the park.

My trip next year will be the first for my baby dd who will be 2 at that time. My plan is to spend 2 days at each park. This should allow us to see everything we want to see, and some things more than once. I can forsee spending 2 entire mornings or afternoons in Fantasy land  :wizard:

I think that you would need at least 2 fulls days at EPCOT. We do 3 and we still can't see everything we want to. EPCOT has a lot of fun things to do and it's huge!

On our 1st trip to WDW we did a day at each park with an extra half day at Epcot. Epcot is the only park where we missed alot of stuff even with 1.5 days. So this time we are doing 2 full days. Epcot is really 2 parks in one so it requies 2 days. MK requires more than one day if you have small kids.

Usually we spend 2 days at Epcot -- just to have time to spend wandering through everything without having to rush. You almost need 2 full days to ride all the rides, see all the exhibits, take time in each country to explore them. There are so many shows and so much to see, smell and eat...
