We live in MA and we are AKV DVC members. We our planning to use our points to visit DL. We are not sure how many days it would take to thoroughly see/enjoy the parks and have some leisure time at the resort. Any suggestions?

This gets asked a lot, and the answer usually is...it depends. It depends on your family, your expectations, lots of variables.

Generally speaking, a three or four day visit is the minimum length that people recommend to first time visitors. You can't do everything, but you can see a lot and walk away feeling good about your trip.

Depending on the time of year you go, with crowds you will feel rushed. With low crowds you can sometimes hit walk on ride days. But Anything less then 4 you are shorting yourself. Anything over 4 your laughing and revisiting your favorites a few more times at a leisurely non rushed pace. Personally if I were a first timer again knowing what I know now, I would probably spoil myself and get a 5-6 day pass.

We went for nine days in November and truly wished we had another nine. Honestly, I would not even consider a trip that is shorter than four days and preferably five or six.

Thanks for the responses. We were planning 8 days and 7 nights, figuring two days would be wasted on travel. It sounds like we'll have plenty of time.

we have done 4days alot the times some times 5. we were going to do 3 but never do that little now were planing 6

I think you need at least 3 full days to do everything. We went for 6 days in December and that was plenty of time, we were able to do a lot of stuff and some things multiple times like the parades. Next time we go I think I'd like to do 4 full days.

What time of December did you go? Was it early on? Just wondering what I am to expect this year. Never been in December. I can imagine it getting crazy busy closer to Xmas.

end nov-beggiong of dec have less crowds i like the nov 26-dec3 type dates because well my bdy is nov 30th lol an every time we have went we have found not so bad crowds

3 days was too short for us, but my daughter was five at the time we couldn't spend a full day at a park.
