How many days do you plan your vacation for and feel like you are satisfied??? The last two times I went we booked for 6 nights and honestly I still felt like I missed out!!! What do you think?

depends on the time of the year...when I went one june/july for 14 days...that was almost too much, the heat the crowds...I was ready to go (did I just say that!!! :rotfl: )

but usually I am bummed to leave.

My trip in Jan is 12 days, its my first solo trip, not sure if I will like its too much or not enough...but in about 90 days or so I will find out

In the past we usually stay 7 nights. It never seems enough. But, I am always planning my next trip, and that seems to get me through it. Next trip is 10 nights! Can't wait. :dance3:

2005 we stayed 11 days. 2007 we are planning 10 days kid free. we try to plan 2 days for each park plus a day to relax and a bad weather day. just incase. works for us.

8 days is what I was thinking..............can't afford much more than that!!!!
A cop's salary is not that great!!!!!!!!! LOL :teeth:

we usually stay 4 nights/5 days. We are usually able to do everything we want to do. Sometimes I feel rushed tho. I think another day would be better.
Honestly I dont think I would want to go for 2 weeks, I think I would get bored. I couldnt afford it anyway.

We are going for 10 days this time. 7 just didn't seem like enough for us

15 nights but we are coming a long way. Last trip was the same length, but we don't do anything the first and last days other than hang out at the resort. I'd love to the last day, but my dbf is to nervous we'd miss the plane :confused3 .
I'm always tired at the end of it and don't mind going home for some down time, but know too if we only had say, another week :thumbsup2 I'd relax more at the resort and be perfectly happy to stay a bit longer!

We usually go for 8 nights, 9 days. I'd rather stay for about 12 days, but we only go when we pull the kids out of school & last year they missed 11 school days for 2 WDW vacations. I figured that was enough.

We used to go for 7 nights/7 days and it seemed like plenty of time-that was pre-kid though....

We just returned on Wed. from a 5 night/4.5 day trip with our girls (ages 6 and 4) and it was far too short! I'd originally booked 7 nights but DH said no way-only 5 and wouldn't budge.... by day 3 of our trip he realized his big error and said he wished he'd let me book for 7 nights :( :( Our girls were sooooooo sad when it was time to go-just not enough time to do everything esp. when they were both at such a perfectly magical age to take them!!!! The good news is that he said it was his best trip ever and in lieu of a pool next summer, if I want to, we can go to Disney in August  Disney is way better than a pool IMO! :rotfl: This trip will be for 7 nights!!!

Actually I suspect the length of stay depends upon several factors. Such as: (1) Size of your party, and ages of children; (2) Distance from your home to WDW; (3) Budget; (4) Length of time between trips to WDW; (5) Number of side trips planned; (6) the time of the year you visit; (7) Your style of park touring; etc.

On my solo trips to WDW I normally book for five nights, arriving at The World at about noon on the first day. (This will be the case with my upcoming trip the week after Thanksgiving.) My personal itinerary for the visit allows for a relaxing visit to each park, with plenty of time between attractions, and meal reservations made well ahead of time, and with a minimum of backtracking in the parks.

This gives me four full days at WDW, and there are four parks. I add time at Epcot by also visiting that park for the evening of my arrival day, and add time at the Magic Kingdom by going to the Christmas Party on the day I'm at that park, and use the evening time of the Animal Kingdom day for a visit to Downtown Disney, usually seeing the Circus.

So the five night stay adds up to a full day at the Studios, a full day at the Animal Kingdom, a very long day at the Magic Kingdom, and a day and a half at Epcot, plus an evening at Downtown Disney.

Someone once asked me "When do you rest?"
That's easy, I reply "I'm never worn out because I'm never in a rush. But if I ever do need to rest, I'll do it when I get back home."

Enjoy.

Wife and I usually do 9 days/10 nights and honestly by the end, it's almost exhausting. This year I am thinking about adding 1 more day, and possibly taking 1 full day off from the parks to see if it makes a difference (Yes, we do the whole trip without a day off from the parks). Can't wait to see how it goes.

We usually go for 7 nights. I would love to go longer but both of our employers really don't like to let us off for more than one week at a time. Maybe someday!

Have never really been able to manage more than the 7nights/8days. However, we've been there so many times that the only time I felt rushed in this timeframe was last year when we took a newbie along. Suddenly, it felt like we just didn't have enough time - so we're going back in three weeks!!! :cool1:

I like to leave very early so we're down there before noon and like to come home late so we get park time in on the last day.

Could I stay longer - absolutely!!! My dream vacation would be two weeks at WDW (concierge at Poly) followed by two weeks on the Magic (Eastern and Western Carribean).  Just have to hit the powerball!!!

We find five good park days are enough to feel like we've done WDW. It's enough for us to do all the rides we're interested in, and even do the biggies twice. However, if we can make it six, that's good too. If we stay longer than that, we usually do something outside of the mouse.

We enjoy the feeling that we haven't done every single thing in the parks and every dining option on every single visit. It's the idea that there's something more to be seen (or seen again) on the next visit that is part of what keeps us coming. Like I like DTD, but if I don't see it every trip, that's okay. We usually hit all the major attractions, but there's a few we only see once in a while - once every four years or so is more than enough for the Hall of Presidents, the 3-d films in Epcot's WS, ...We like Crystal Palace, but we ate there two visits in a row, so we're skipping it for a few years.
Indeed, we enjoy the thought of seeing something new each visit.

We have stayed from 6 - 14 days on various trips. After the two weeks we are ready to come home but could stay more. The shorter trips are just that, a little short. We are going for a week in December and then back in the spring for 2 weeks.

I've been pondering this since coming back from 8 nights a couple of weeks ago. We have always gone for 4 nights in the past and that was not enough, not even during the slow times when we go.

But this time, the last few days I was just so tired, my mind wanted to walk across EPCOT and do Soarin' again, and I knew there was no wait, but I just couldn't make my body do it! :rotfl2: And I'm only 33! MAybe it was the heat?

So I think, my ideal trip would be 5 nights....every month! :teeth: Then every time I left and didn't feel like I did everything, I would say "Oh, well, I'll do it next month!" :thumbsup2 DH does not agree.
