A minor pet peeve--I clip the coupons out of the weekend paper every week. And then I wonder why I bother. So many of the them are the same, week after week.

I have plenty of Campbell's soup, Yoplait, Chex Mix, GM cereal, Colgate toothpaste, Listerine, Airwick spray, and refrigerated Pillsbury dough. If I do run out of any of those items, I have plenty of coupons to buy more.

Really, I'm getting sick of how repetitious the coupons are. I wish some different manufacturers would start offering coupons on some different items.

i've noticed that despite having a couple of stores near us that traditionaly vary quite a bit in price on certain items; with the brand name stuff they have recently been almost consistently priced the same on those items. i don't know what the deal is-it seems like unless one of the stores is having a big 'come on' special on a certain brand name product (and then they tend to limit the number you can buy), the brand name prices are staying pretty consistent store to store-and you're right, the coupons are very repetative in offerings.

it seems like at this point when i'm looking to the ads, unless someone is offering a great sale on a brand name item i'm better off looking to see if an individual store is having some kind of special offer that to some extent provides me with a discount or perk in another area (kind of offsets not getting a great deal)-for example, our local safeway had a special running this weekend where for $50 in purchases you received free-a pound of bacon, a dozen eggs, a half gallon of oj, and your choice of a loaf of raisin bread or a dozen english muffins. that was a pretty good deal, but on top of that for every $50 spent you received a $10 kohl's gift certificate. i noticed allot more people doing their shopping at that safeway vs. the store right down the street which is traditionaly priced a bit lower.
