How many concert venues have you been to?

Depends on what a "concert venue" is. I've been to a variety of amphitheaters and performing venues. Never saw anything that would be an official concert at a stadium or arena, but I have seen short performances at sporting events. I've also seen my fair share of free concerts at different places.

If memories serves about 10. Some were minor venues, such as the fair grounds, bars or concert in the park.

Yeah. I suppose it could be almost anything. I've seen classical music - just my cousin performing in a youth orchestra up to professional musicians at a real concert hall. Hardly Strictly Bluegrass at Golden Gate Park has been pretty good over the years. I think for that I've seen Chris Isaak, Mavis Staple, Elvis Costello, Cyndi Lauper, and Jackson Browne.

I guess Disneyland might count too. Went there for Grad Nite. And once I was barely there when New Edition had a concert at the Space Stage in Tomorrowland. We got there late and it was impossible to see anything from the standing room in the back. I was pretty young back then.

All in the Philly area, and all of them except for a few also served one sports team or another:

The Spectrum ( I remember taking my little sister to see Menudo there for her birthday. Man, was I out of place)
The Liacouras Center
The Electric Factory
JFK Stadium (saw U2 there in 1987. This was where American Live Aid was held in '85, and the place was falling apart)
Tower Theater
Theater of the Living Arts

Too many to recall. I prefer smaller venues, capacity about 2000-3000 but I’ve been to concerts from tiny clubs to large outdoor stadiums.

Some I recall in the Philly area:
Spectrum
Wells Fargo Center
Ripley Music Hall
Mann Music Center
Camden NJ ampitheater
Tower Theater
Theater of the Living Arts (mostly for “art” or oddball films, but they occasionally had concerts.

Atlantic City casinos
Stone Pony, Asbury Park, NJ

My college had some big names perform in the Athletic Center: Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, Talking Heads, America, and others.

I remember someone dragged me to see U2 at a small Philly club before they were well known. I left thinking, “wow, this band is going to be huge in a few years.”

One of my greatest concert memories (two, actually) came from Wellmont in/near Montclair, NJ!
