How Many Character Meals Is Too Many??? A Sept. 2010 DxDP Report with pics

we felt the someway with Chef Mickey except my son loves the characters. The food was so bad (even the desserts) when we got back to our room our son asked if we can order room service b/c his tummy is hungry and my husband agreed he left Chef Mickey hungry b/c there was nothing there edible. My son did asked if he can go back to Chef Mickey to see his friends so we are trying Breakfast on our December trip...you really can't go wrong with breakfast food...I hope:rotfl:
Thanks for the update and cant wait for more...popcorn::

So is the 3 broomsticks a counter service place then? I am a huge harry potter fan as well ,and I am olde than you! ;)

I am thinking that the next trip we plan (probably another year or two away) will be to Universal.

I have eaten at Chef Mickey's once, in 2007. We ate breakfast there, and it was just OK. Basic breakfast food, and alot seemed cold and just not that tasty. I think the pancakes were the best and the donuts. LOL! At one time I was told dinner was better, but then in the last 2 years I have heard it has actually gotten to the point that alot of people find it disgusting. So I don't know if we'll ever have another trip over there or not.

We tried Chef Mickey's for dinner last trip too. I think b/c I walked in thinking that there would be horrible food and that we were just for the characters I wasn't disappointed. The only think that annoyed me was that I figured at least DD would be able to have pizza, but the pizza was cold and gross when we were there too. I don't really remember what she ate. Ice cream?

I would be very annoyed if we didn't see Mickey.

And the little cheesecakes were the best part of the meal:thumbsup2

We were going to try it for breakfast this time, but I think we'll be skipping that one too.

I would just like to say Thank you for the update on all of these great dining adventures! :worship:This has really helped me decide how many and which ones that I think I would like to take my DD (3) to. She is a big fan of characters but too many will be overwhelming I think:eek:. Thanks again for this great thread! :thumbsup2
